Australia again started well with Hodge removing Jimmy Anderson with a skidding delivery before removing Harmison with as Geoffrey said "An absoloute beautiful ball" before Shane Warne finished it off getting Hoggard stumped for 1 with Read finishing on a marvelously played 116no. The famous opening partnership of Hayden and Langer came out to bat, Langer was facing Anderson for the first ball and it was a pearler with Langer inside edging it with Read taking a great catch for Australia to be 1/0 off 1 ball! Ponting though wasn't intimidated hitting him for 4, Australia finsihed with 1/31
