What a waste of money, just buy the game and be done with it.
You can buy night-vising googles for $10 USD, seriously. Money-making scheme :laugh
Would you pay $90 for a $10 toy that has an infinity ward sticker on it, and waste $80, or go buy the $10 toy and draw your own infinity ward symbol on it (if you really care that much).Proper military NVGs cost well over several thousand USD. So anything cheap is pretty much guaranteed to be not the proper thing, but more of a gimmick - although I'd love to see one for 10 bucks only. =)
Speaking of money-making schemes, I expected more hype and teasing from IW if Activision still expects it to be the "biggest selling video game of all time."

Well, Activision's doing pretty well to piss off CoD/MW fans. Pre-order price for the PC version's been $60 USD for a while now - 10 bucks more than normal PC games. Now Activision announced that in the UK, the game will be going for ?55 - 5 pounds higher than other games, blaming the rising price of Euro against the British pound. Read the Guardian as they try to explain how Activision is right to increase the game's price during a recession, but MW2's coming out in a holiday season when lots of other great games are, too - and if those publishers decide not to go down the same road as Activision, people might just have other games to pick up instead.
In other news, IW talks about more of the same of MW2 at NYC with the press, which included Kotaku. Confirmed was that the co-op SpecOps mode, which would include missions like underwater combat, skidoo races and the likes, would be the same length as the single player campaign itself.
PS: Oh and Gilly Fan, seems like no Wii version.
That's a good deal for you - in fact all of the standard platform versions are priced at ?45 there. So yeah, I (Activision rather) actually meant the regular edition for the price tag of ?55 in the UK. The Prestige edition is supposedly priced at ?120...http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1010...2/Product.html
I'd imagine that's a likely price for the ordinary version at least.
Excuse me? ?55? You must be talking about the 'Prestige' version or something, surely?
