Border Gavaskar Trophy
The Ashes
Any India-Pakistan
Top 3 for me. In no particular order.
Really, that proves how good it is. Even if it is really one-sided, it's easily the best series in Test Cricket. Nothing even comes close to touching it. As much as you Pakistan and Indians members want to argue, your just going to have to face the facts eventually.
Chappel Haddle trouphy 2006/7, New Zealand chased down two 300+ scores and won the other match by 10 wickets.
Ponting, Gilchrist and IIRC someone else (Voges was playing - perhaps Clarke) were all being rested, plus you were at home, we didn't have our no 3, our keeper, our captain, our vice captain, one of our batsmen. I think Lee was absent as well.
As I said on the first page of the thread we didn't have Oram, Vettori and Bond there the whole time either. In the Hamilton game where we chased down 340 odd all 3 of them were missing.
It's not all about the individual series. The rivalry is unprecedented between England and Australia in any sport. And it's not like we weren't more competitive pre 1981.
We won in 1986-87 too, and although Australia have been more successful the series are always well fought. Every series has a story regardless.Pre-1981? lol.
So, England have competed ONCE (2005) in 30 years and it's the best in the world?
And, no the Ashes is not as passionate as Ind-Pak. It's actually pretty sad that you think so. You need to come into reality.
