Most improved cricketer?

Stuart Broad. A year ago he looked like an 'out of the mould' bowler that wouldn't be anything overly special. But he's proven his worth to England, he's very adaptable, even better with the bat, and he is good at keeping specific ways of bowling to each format.

Johnson. Went from being the wayward, hittable bowler to the guy that broke both of Graeme Smith's hands. Geeze.

Harbhajan Singh.. How he fits into this category???? Well he is yet to slap anyone after Sree, so he deserve tag of most improved on field behavior.:p:p

On a serious note, Ravi Bopara and Dilshan. Ravi has peaked in test cricket while dilshan in T20... Both have been amazingly consistent

LOL, peaked...

Where is Afridi for great improvement in batting. He was looking now more compact batsman.

Two 20/20 games and apparently Afridi's batting is back. What about the last two years.

Johnson, Strauss, Bopara, Akmal, Hughes (if he counts.)

I think the player how has improved is andrew strauss ,james anderson ,stuart broad ,gautam gambhir

Hmmm.... Brendon McCullum! He has improved a lot since 2007. Even Gautam Gambhir has come a long way in terms of improvement.

Do you have any big problem with Pakistan side?

Afridi has improved both his batting and bowling. He was never been so dangerous bowler and also he played really sensibly in last four matches. If he is sensible that means he has improved.

Haha.. maybe Afridi's bowling has gotten slightly better but his batting is going downhill. If you can even suggest Afridi's batting has improved more than anybody else in the international scene, you are an absolute idiot.

Mitchell Johnson, James Anderson, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, AB De Villiers and Gautam Gambhir have all improved immensely.

Everyone in this post, actually, everyone in this thread.

I made a thread last year, about how poor Mitchell Johnson is but how, IMO he would come good, and be a big part of our bowling attack. Pretty successful thread, IMO.

Gautam Gambhir. There are lots of other cricketers but he's one pick. Whenever he goes out to the crease, You're assured of 50-60 runs. If he's in the groove, then a century.

Bad times though, in the IPL and T20 WC. Hope he'll be back again.
