I was impressed by KKD today Zorax. His catch to dismiss Smith was stunning and he batted quite brilliantly yesterday as well.

Me too. Akmal is a high risk player, needs confidence. if he has a good start to a game, he is great. Not, then he is poor.
Mccullum is very consistent, a good fighter, and very tidy.

But, if you saw KKD's keeping today, amazing. Give him a permanent spot in the Test Team, damn it! 90 odd against Aus, and this games performance. Brilliant!

Really? Didn't he score a fifty against Australia too? Cause I clearly remember him and Kaif batting together, and one of them had a runner, yet ran, and got runout.
DDK is good lower in the order too, did you see him yesterday? Good with the tail and good at preventing collapses.
But in 5-10 years, both Dhoni and KKD along with Parthiv Patel will be in the starting XI on their batting alone.

No it was against pakistan karthik is our future no 3 he gives so much confidence while defending also .he is a good puller and cutter .Dhoni is our
keeper batsman as he keeps well to spinner better than karthick as kkd jumps

Dhoni isn't a Keeper, He's a ball stopper, He's very good im not denying But Karthik is Better. I think you should play Dhoni in one dayers, because he's the kind of player who can turn a one day match but he doesn't suit test matches.
Karthik is a proper Keeper, he's good techincally, he can bat and he has age on his side. He has the brighter future for India.

Both him and Kartik should be in the team as they both make it as batsman, Sehwag should be fighting for his place besides those two.

No i do not agree he does not keep well to spinners as he jumps today also he was struggling he was using his pads .he is better to seamers but i think allround dhoni is better

Look at his technique, He's not a Keeper (y) He's fairly poor down the leg-side to Spinners. Why play such a player when you have a technically almost perfect keeper in both Karthik and Patel and Both Bat. Actually, Dhoni is more of a diving type keeper than Karthik because Dhonis poor technic and Leg side footwork make it more difficult for him. So don't judge on just face value. He's ok to spinners but keeping to spinners is Pish, I'm a Keeper myself, You HAVE to have a stong technique and He doesn't.

I think we can safely conclude that Karthik is a better keeper than Dhoni. In fact, if Karthik had a made a century the first time he had come into cricket, we wouldn't even know who Dhoni was. India has been searching for a wicket-keeper who can bat since Nayan Mongia was ushered out.

Aye, You'd have to drop a proven batsmen for a guy who is terribly inconsistant. He may turn you games in a session but he doesn't always contribute.

Yup.
Dhoni has improved, no doubt, but he isn't light enough on his feet to spinners. Jumping isn't bad. Karthik is good both legside and off, and makes very good catches. Dhoni is improving a lot, and can stay in ODIs, although I would prefer Dhoni not behind the stumps and in the outfield instead.
Also, did you know, he wanted to play so bad, that in domestic cricket prior to the series, he was begging to open the innings, and did well? So really, he can and wants to play anywhere in the lineup.
And a technically perfect keeper in Patel? Technique may be good, but he seems to miss a lot...
