New BLIC Gameplay Video

While we've got your attention, could I direct you to my query regarding the names in this thread.

I'd love to be able to answer that that, but forum says no.

I can't - it comes up with the usual VBulletin message -

"rubbergenius, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons..." blah blah

As for why we don't have all the licenced names, off the record, I'll agree with what Shailesh said...

Was pretty impressed with the codies video - little things like the short leg jumping when the on-drive is played, the ball going straight into the bowlers hand in the caught and bowled, the different shot types (that shot that James Anderson played was cooool), the fielding meter, throwing on the turn, plus the fast loading times between balls and fluidity were really good.

One thing that really concerns me though, and it's been said before I know, is the loopiness of the fast bowling. Even when the bowler was bowling at 130 kph, the ball was flighted waaaay too much. Now Glenn McGrath bowls at that speed, and it would be so unrealistic to see him bowling with that kind of loop in the game. The loopiness of the ball is gonna make or break the game for me I'm afraid.

Umm...I think you got it backwards.:
102 kph
64mph

That sounds right :D

Besides:102 mph, that is impossible!!! Even Akhtar only has 101.2.....
It's 102mph/164kph, and why is it impossible for a bowler to bowl 0.8 of a mile faster?

If I saw correctly, the batting order can be changed after a wicket? Pietersen was selected from the menu and he came out to bat..another good point if this is the case.

Game Set and match BLIC ! I must admit that in th beginning I was one of those who was sucked in by the first set of C2k5 Screenshots and the gfx looked prtty good and they still o but the muscular playrs and the mediocre animations might just spoil the show for EA even before the release . That is why I think we have been saved by Umosay posting the gameplay videos before the release. I think the videos are pretty much comprehensive and we can easily tell that C2k5 is a polished version of C2k4 ! BLIC on the other hand looks a fresh product and it would be a huge asset for the codies . The game looks different while the EA C2k5 looks to be a bit tired and an old wine in a new bottle ! C2k5 might be better than C2k4 but by the looks of things its certinly not better than BLIC 2005 !
The player names can be corrected any time but not the player models (muscular players) and slow animations !

BLIC looks brillaint everything looks great, C2005 is just C2004 updated with lil add ons! kinda like the Flight simulator series!!

Can't wait till July 21st ...

crick05 animations are just as slow as crick02 were, just looks like they are playing in slow motion or underwater lol, just like some people thought, the game works like a donkey without legs. BLIC looks way better

fast paced ... u hit the nail on the head there sallu ... its gonna be so much faster to play and action is garunteed. i am sure i wont get bored after bowling 20 overs in a test match (in c2004) ... it seems like in the same time ill be able to get abt 30 to 35 overs in. :)

I preferred the Cricket 2005 video, but BLIC looks like one hell of a game! I'm looking forward to July 21st.

BTW, is it possible to download the video rather than watch it in the gallery?
