New C2005 Gameplay Video

OMG!!! this game looks like rubbish...

-when the the playing is given out LBW the ball come of like he hit it off the middle bat, what the?
-the game looks like it's in slow motion!
-the players must have been going to the gym and lifting a few to many weights!

First of all, I wasn't totally dissappointed by the video, the only thing dissapointing is the stupid commentary, although graphics looked azaming. Anyways i m going to buy both BLC05 and Crick05.

As someone who will buy both this and BLIC on XBOX I was more impressed with the graphics and apparant game play in the Cricket 2005 video than the BLIC one, the kits are accurate so are the names (more than BLIC). As for the commentary I expect there to be more variety as the game continues.

Give the game a chance, after all a lot of people on this forum seem to be salivating over Mr Lara's game, when the history of Codemasters is just as chequered with bad iterations as that of EA.

I think Cricket 2005 will be good than BLIC...though it has less features but I bet gameplay will be great than BLIC....BLIC sux...EA's game has professional finish which BLIC doesnt have...though Cricket 2005 doesnt seem to be promising but it will surely be good...cuz everything that glitters is not gold

Graphics were fine...gameplay was same...commentatory sucked:

Umpiring and appealing looked better, but no resemblance with players...

Oh yea: OBT must mean Opening Batsman, OBW-Opening bowler. SBW was slow bowler I think....

I think I worked out what the Blue Circle around the batsman is for...

In Cricket 2004 if you played the game on Easy the AI would automatically do your footwork.. But in 2005 the Blue marker Highlights the facing batsman and when it shrinks it shows the ideal place to start off with you footwork. You move your feet to that position and you should be in a appropiate place to face the ball. I imagine this circle would be gone in harder levels.

Also did anyone notice about 2:20 minutes into the clip there is a cut scene of Hayden, the cut scene shows him as a RIGHT HANDED PLAYER....

About EA's video, it wasn't that great in comparison to the codies one. Sure, when it started off it gave you a bit of hope, but as it went on you realised it was pretty much Cricket 2004 with better graphics. Everything just seemed old and tired.

There were a few interesting things I noticed in the EA video tho...
1) The ball actually SWUNG!!! For the first time ever in a cricket game, I've seen swing!!

2) It was wierd how the bowling pitch marker worked - it never seemed to be at the point where it was initially clicked.

3) The square leg umpires little hop/skip/jump when the ball was played near him was really funny! Nice touch by EA..

4) Overall the game just lacked atmosphere.....BLIC seemed much better in that regard

i dont think i have anythin to say abt the game ... think the members who have posted on this forum have addressed all my concerns ... i am quite dissapointed! hope it is better when playin ...

i guess a whole management change in the EA cricketing division will do the trick ... start afresh ...

cricket 2005 vdo suck..EA suck..what a rubbish vdo is that guys?codies r awsome and they have proved that by now..i m not even buying this stupid cricket 2005 by ea..i will buy blic 2005 for sure....cricket 2005 is worst thn cricket 2004....
