What's wrong with that? You try running at full speed and stopping dead at 22 yards.

Well I played cricket at professional level never crossed the keeper to be honest; dunno about others ? :D

ok heres how the games go from good to bad.

The design docs are actually very well written and planned..its the deadlines...the list of features to be implemented in the game go from 90% to like 30% finally.so yeah only 30% of the features are implemented. Reasons why?

It costs money and the deadlines from the publisher(EA yeah they are evil!) ...the game is being made by HB Studios a very good team of programmers and designers. EA is making them finish the game sooner than they are capable of ..as a result they are using previous assets.

when HB first made C2k2...it was an amazing game..and thats how it goes with Fifa titles too...they dont do everything from scratch...

give ea some more time...and you'll see a very good game in coming years :) and mine too ;)

I think something is wrong with sangam... C2k2 wasnt an amazing game at all. It was playable due to the patchers like Vineet Radhakrishnan, etc who existed at that time!

anyways, my review on the gameplay video of C2k5. The commentary sounds too boring. The same thing again from C2k4 by Jim Maxwell and Richie Benaud. Man, its gonna be the biggest drawback.. When playing a game, the commentary is the most important part of holding the viewer's interests in playing the game again and again and it should remain as a part that is changed with every new title. But EA havent done it. The same comments from the two commentators (looks like it is being used from C2k4!).

Well, on the graphics, I would say EA has given lot of importance to it. It looks better than C2k4 but I still prefer BLIC's colorful graphics. My preferrence is more on a good looking graphic rather than a graphic which looks close to realism. Not much of expressions included for the player. And yes, anther drawback is the players look too muscular. Zaheer Khan looks too muscular and fat. Nothing else to say.

My overall preferrence: Would play EA's C2k5 if one of my friend has it. But certainly going to buy BLIC!

I think people here are speaking more against EA, not HB studios. I think most of the people here are intelligent enough to know that HB studios cant be criticised for the problems the games released by EA have. We know that whatever EA says, HB has to do! The fault is with EA.

Commentary is the main way of keeping a player interested in a game?! I don't believe i've just seen that. I know people bang on about it, but what about Pro Evo? The commentary in that is shocking, yet people go back and keep playing it. I agree, the commentary should be updated with each version of a game, but to say it's the most important way of keeping a player interested is untrue.

I saw the video just now!

It is very difficult to go through 5 pages. So I've not read what u guys have told.Sorry.

My views:

+Postives

1.Very good player models, the best I've seen so far in Cricket games.
2.Player animation is very realistic & not robotic(better than in BLIC)
3.Zaheer's face looks almost real.

-Negatives
1.Commentary similar/same as in Cricket 2004.(annoying)
2.Riche says 4 buys, the umpire gives leg buys(
wacko.gif
)
3.Graphics other than player models look the same like in cric04,cric02
sad.gif

4.Gambir in ODI squard :)
5.As Sai said,Zaheer & Agarkar look too muscular.

The short ball which is left by the batsman in the first over is called wide haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah thats strange

Well if this what we can expect in ck25 then I am not buying it.

Bowlers are huge. Agarkar could only wish in his dreams to have such a body

The ball physics is totally wrong.

Wicketkeeper lets go the first ball which is within reach.

The fielder's movements are still jerky

And why didn't majority of the runs come off the bat? Is it really impossible to bat in this game or what??

BLIC looks much better although I have some complaints about it too after seeing the BLIC video. I guess buying BLIC would be better choice.

EA has decided to release CK25 only to compete with BLIC nothing else.

I wonder where they came up with a competing idea because they are way behind BLIC.
