How good are the wickets now!!

Really loving the seam movement (when it moves according to input). Hope they have not removed it completely in the hot fix. Would be great to have the old swing back along with the seam movement.
Your take on the hot fix?

Bowling is much better and once the hotfix is applied to get rid of the random cutters off a straight delivery and swing added I'm going to be frothing

Wealey and Dutch , have you noticed pitches deterioration in test and first class matches after swing update on pc.

Yes they do shovel a lot to leg, and many of the bowleds seem to be playing across the line. Not a bad thing, maybe a bit over the top

I have noticed it as well. Mostly to deliveries on the off stump and even to those outside off (full and good length). And quite frequently.
Similarly they try to hit bouncers to the off with a quick skip to the leg side kinda movement.

I'm loving the new straight drive. I know it was always there but beating mid-on/off wasn't as usual, so whatever they've tweaked, it has done the charm as far as straight drive goes.

Wouldn't agree, I have had run out decisions taken to third umpire when I was batting and decisions were right..I was not out on many occasions..

Also I feel the balance on such stuff is hard to come by because you are just a whisker away from messing it up...

@MattW Throwing meter is broken when stopping the ball on slow motion circle in offline multiplayer and against AI.

When played grounded shots to the in-fielders then the slow motion stopping system comes and after stopping with that, you cant throw the ball back because the throwing meter doesn't work (fielder will stand still and throw after sometime). Please note and fix this. Thanks.

Pardon me if I am raising the same issue again and again. Is there pitches deterioration after the recent swing update on pc. Because i noticed there's not any changes in pitches after 60 odd overs in test matches.Any help from BA or beta testers would be appreciated.

However , Having a unique issue as under make me feel frustrated;

While Batting

Few days before the patch:-

I simply could not connect bat to ball while batting as if I was a newbie to the game (although I have been playing with great control right from DBC 14 , DBC 17 & even Ashes 2017 until recently). It felt weird to see ball deceiving, hitting the body , getting bowled, LBWs but with not a single time bat connecting the ball.
The footwork felt out of control..Despite a front foot LS straight the batsman would randomely place it on leg or off stump & do the shot animation that too in a different direction then the RS stick direction
I tried the integrity check on steam several times. Even tried changing the gamepad but no avail...Felt so suffocated to not even connect a ball to the bat that too suddenly after enjoying it with full control till this happened. Imagine maidens after maidens & score being 0 for several wickets.

I tried all different modes test casual etc but same effect....Even tried the Standard controls ( which I am not much a fan of since I am use to the clasic controls since DBC 14 days) Even tried at easiest levels (despite the fact that AI controls the footwork for you)

The patch announcement however kept me excited

After the official patch:-

Despite all the timing becoming harder, I was back to the old days where I could reconnect the ball nicely with full control on hard & hardest with footwork precisely in the direction of LS & boy it was such a pleasure to feel the ball connecting to the bat and see it travel exactly in the direction of RS.. It was huge relief that the aforesaid issue was gone totally..I really enjoyed the update with the timing becoming harder & also it gave a great feeling to have full control over a shot with LS & RS precisely where you wanted.

After opting in for the Hotfix Beta:

Then came the 22mb hotfix for swing. After I opted in, The old issue resurfaced back immediately... I re tried everthing as above but still no use...

Opting out of the hot fix beta:-

Today morning I rolled back to the official update without teh beta & tried several game modes but the issue continued...Even did the integrity check but no use...
THe suffocation of not connecting a single ball continues with footwork direction & shot direction with LS & RS not responding in the right direction at all levels easiest to hardest...

I am afraid, I dont know if anyone has faced such an issue on this forum as yet...How can it be so so unique to me??

Whilst everyone is enjoying the patch (even I did untill I opted for the hotfix) I am not even able to connect bat to ball...

Hope anyone can help me to fix it..

The issue sounds unique, one thing you could try is back up the save file and then delete it and see how it plays.

Is it possible , that you have left Batting Modifiers on? That usually happens if the Timing is set to 50 or higher.

All I can think is what type of controller you have.

A common thing is that Logitech controllers have a switch on the back that needs to be set to X for the game to function correctly (instead of D).
