It was a thriller here in Hamilton that went right done to the last over, where the Gangsters needed 25 runs to steal and unlikely victory. Iain O'Brien was the bowler, and the over played out like this: 4, 6, 4, W, 4, 4.
O'Brien just did enough to help the Volts consolidate top spot, with a third straight win.
Earlier today Nazir and Flintoff had both fired with the bat, helping Otago up to 167 for 6. Johnson was the pick of the Gangster bowlers, picking up four wickets and only going for 25 runs.
The Gangsters innings did not start off well, and it was left to Dilshan and Smith to re-build. They both got out just at the wrong time taking away the innings' momentum, as they fell an agonizing three runs short.
Andrew Flintoff was awarded man of the match, for his fifty with the bat and very economical spell with the ball.

The Wellington Thunderbolts were in cruise control today, as they eased past the Canterbury Cannons with seven wickets and 23 balls remaining.
Once again their victory was built on some great Ross Taylor batting, who scored his third consecutive 50 of the tournament.
Greg Hay and Jimmy Franklin were left with the task of re-building a battered looking Cannons scorecard. The task was just to monumental as they crumbled, all out for just 124.
Bond and Butler were just outstanding up the top, knocking over the Cannons top order like skittles. Murali came on and was almost unplayable, while youngster Trent Boult made an immediate impact only going for 19 in his three over's.
Wellington suffered three early hiccups, before Taylor and Collingwood brought them home with ease. The only bowler to trouble the Thunderbolts was Dale Steyn, who picked up three wickets.
Man of the match was a tough decision today, but it was given to Ian Butler. He pretty much set up the win taking the big wickets of Fleming and Pietersen, as well as being very economical.

The Auckland Aces have picked up their first win of the T20 tournament dispatching of the Central Strikers, and in the process joining a four way log-jam for third place.
The Aces got of to the worst possible start losing Graeme Smith just second ball, but Sangakkara and Ponting then Sanagkkara and Fulton got them right back into the game.
Sangakkara played a simply superb innings, and was well backed up by "Two Metre Peter" who also got a fifty.
The Strikers bowling was very inconsistent, with patches of brilliance mixed in with a lot of inconsistency.
The Strikers had to get off to a good start, which they did not. They lost five early wickets meaning they were already behind the required run rate, hence could not afford to lose any more.
That meant Oram and Sinclair had to re-built, but could play very few risky shots as they really just had Styris to follow.
In the end Akhtar, Mills and McMillan were all too good with the ball in hand. Akhtar was by far the pick, taking three for 19 of his allocated four over's.
Kumar Sangakkara was awarded man of the match for his very well compiled 86, a knock which included 11 fours and one six.
