Yea im really pissed. What drew me to cricket in the 1st place was pace bowling. 90 mph stuff breaking peoples jaws and shattering stumps. Guess I will have to settle for Malinga only

Ah ok , guess that is some sort of compensation. Still wanted to see the batsmen hopping around to short pitched bowling. The pitch is being prepared by a kiwi groundsman.

i heard some commentator say in the WT20 that it was being prepared by some english guy who prepared the guyana pitch. if thats the case hopefully it wont be a low and slow pitch.

Ill try to dig up my source, last I read some guys had flown in from NZ to consult about the pitch but there might be an Englishman who is doing the final preparations.

None of this would be possible without CNZ, we owe them a big thanks. They are touring our country, they send over coaches for our u19 guys and even let us use their national academy. Nice fellows over at cricket NZ

Phew dodged a bullet there, im only showing up for the 2nd and 3rd which will now be the only 2 matches.

Shame that the floodlights were not up to standard but at least now I get to see the inaugural match

Haha yea I saw that, guess that will stop a lot of streakers now.

I will be takings lots of photos, no worries will post an entire photo diary when I get back.

I might be missing some of the 2nd match though. bastards changed the schedule and now instead of a noon start its 3 pm and my flight leaves at 6

At least I get to watch the entire match on Saturday and spend Sat night in Miami, that alone will make the trip worth it
