New Zealand Tri Series 2022

Then why haven’t Pakistan been shocked out of their archaic thinking yet

It’s one thing to play cricket like that when you’re hamstrung by the lack of options, it’s entirely another when one of the most dynamic cricketers on the T20 circuit plays at run-a-ball because the senior batsmen seem to be doing the same and everything is left to two blokes at opposite ends of the order to inject some intensity. At least Chapman showed up though, he deserves this after years of being out on the wilderness.

We're here, just don't want to say anything to jinx the team... I guess me saying that may have jinxed the team

Who wakes up that early for cricket? Unless it’s the World Cup :p

I thought your lot played wonderful cricket and you also had Shadab at 4 starring with a quick 30 and Haider the finisher exposing Tickner for the inconsistent fraud he is. The pacers were bloody good and this side’s Plan A just seems wonderful. The only issue would be that failing and leaving everything exposed….

Yeah, good point, New Zealand definitely can use their batting resources so much better

That's the problem, bowlers can have a bad day and you can be left chasing 200. If one of Babar and Rizwan falls early, you're not chasing a big total, absent an innings like Nawaz's against India.
Don't get me started on the issues while batting first.

Pakistan and Bangladesh will tour New Zealand right before the T20 World Cup in Australia for Tri Series in Christchurch.

Schedule:

7 Oct: Pakistan :pak: vs :ban: Bangladesh at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
8 Oct: New Zealand :nzf: vs :pak: Pakistan at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
9 Oct: New Zealand :nzf: vs :ban: Bangladesh at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
11 Oct: New Zealand :nzf: vs :pak: Pakistan at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
12 Oct: New Zealand :nzf: vs :ban: Bangladesh at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
13 Oct: Pakistan :pak: vs :ban: Bangladesh at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
14 Oct: Final at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
So total number of T20s still remain 7.

Pakistan didn't learn from the series vs England that number 7 is unlucky for them.

Williamson yet again has an awful showing with the bat. Mitchell should be ahead of him at this point and arguably Guptill too on the basis of his track record.

He's rubbish :lol

(Get that in before he scores a 50 ball 100 v England in the World Cup)

I believe that he's never truly recovered from that elbow/shoulder injury of his by choosing to not do surgery. He's simply lacking the power to regularly score boundaries or even get the ball into strike rotation zones now that his technique of nudging it to third man for a single has become public secret. Bigger worry for NZ would be him aggravating his loss of form and confidence in a format that doesn't suit him and this leading to an early retirement from captaincy and international duties in the other two supposedly stronger formats of his.

Might retire from T20Is this year and ODIs next year, after the WCs

My favourite new conspiracy is that he'll pull a Boult or CdG and just go rogue on the T20 circuit in a couple of years as he realises his body can't keep up both physically and mentally.

The competition with all these new leagues popping up is gonna be fierce, even a batter like him would earn well if he played for a few years.
