Wow, just wow. We could've sent an A team at least. No women's team too, and I'm not sure if they have any tours at the same time. Majorly disappointed at this decision.

The point is...we could've sent an A team. And, if everyone's fit, guys like Kohli and Rohit Sharma won't be playing in the ODIs against New Zealand in any case, so they could've gone to the Asian Games. We could easily send a team like this that would be competitive:

Yes, the main issue is with WADA which is not cleared. The Board of Control for Cricket in India blames the tight schedule, and that is not true. :doh

Pretty sure that participation in the Asian Games is not upto WADA. It's the Olympic Asian Council or something like that, and WADA have said they have no say in whether India play in the Asian Games or not.

The only reason I can think of is the sour relation the two countries (China and India) share at the present moment. Lol!

I would have liked to see an Indian cricket team participating in the Asiad, though I'm not exactly disappointed at the decison as I don't really think that cricket is meant for such tournaments like the Asian Games and the Olympics. Of course it would have been good had we participated, but the fact that we didn't don't sadden me too much.
