No patch for AC09 - officially confirmed

I bet it will in 10-20 years mate, people just want plug in play now and younger generations are just getting lazier by the day. Also the fact that they have to make PC games cheaper than console versions and rampant piracy makes it obvious in my books. Each newer generation of console will be more "PC" like anyways with browsers, media applications etc that eventually I think PCs will be obsolete for gaming/media purposes.

Personally look forward to the day.

How will u make a XBOX game without a PC ???? what make a game from the XBOX lol another PC war

XBOX is a PC but just a lame one with very low specs why do u think xbox getting better over the years because PC is

consoles for ppl who just wanna start the game and play with no probs
user friendly BUT PC for the Gamer who wants the best for todays standards in gaming. PC more expensive but some pc games are cheaper

good PC $1500 - $2000

console $500

Most PC games are cheaper, if not all mate. And I've had trouble with very few PC games - most have installed and played right out of the box.

I still reckon you could make a fan patch. It was done with Age of Empires III with no help from Microsoft and it really did fix the game. I'm sure we have enough skilled members here

and younger generations are just getting lazier by the day.

Bloody youngsters, wasn't like this in my days!!!! (I now feel I can say this at the end of 19 ;))

Ok, we really need to sort out this confusion.

So, we can't make a patch for AC09, but are we allowed to legally share rosters, kits, overlays and all that?

The issue is with the methods currently found of editing AC09, as in what people are doing to create the previews you see, not the actual concept of editing particular things.

Legally we cannot distribute or encourage the finding of the means through which the game is being edited currently, something that we made a decision on prior to any discussion of it with Codemasters.

AbBh is fairly close to being ready with a tool that allows editing in a way that we can support and once that is available there would be no limit on patches that are able to be used with that tool.

The older base and pre-existing availability of tools like the one AbBh is creating for AC09 is the reason that this issue never came up with Cricket 07.

Ashes 09 no patch, not the end of the world

Hi

Luckily i'm a PC owner so i have the 2 beta installed and it works brilliantly.
With the beta's this is the best cricket game ever. I'm busy with another great ashes test match. The match went up and down the whole time. After i took some quick wickets a tale end 100+ partnership rescued Eng from a earlier demise. I really struggled to get a wicket with the old ball. They batted out the rest of the day and i could only get a wicket the next morning. I should win the match as i had a lead of 80 runs in the first innings and are not chasing more than 200 batting last.

Thanks to everyone who made this game and i will support cricket games as far as i can.

Also the the reverse swing works alot better now and i bowled Bopara with a angled lenght bowl that just clipped top of off as he left it bowler Hilfenhaus - it was a classic wicket. The bounce is perfect now. The bouncer also hurt the batsmen now and is quicker. Also you can duck a bouncer by double tapping E - strange they didn't put that in the mannual.

wow.. ducking tip... how did you come across that?

wasted my money on ps3 version after buying pc version in hope for a patch, not buying the next one will just skip on it
