Nostramadus prediction on Sachin Tendulkar

ZoraxDoom said:
Well, he did predict the Trade Towers, Deaths of historical figures and wars, amongst other things.

Nostradamus never predicted anything. It's all retroactive clairvoyance. You show me one person who said BEFORE 9/11 that Nostradamus predicted it.

He has predicted the injury perfectly!!!!!!!!! Lets see whether the other things also work or not??????? becos Tendulkar has dominated the cricket.... No suprise whatever may happen... i.e UN president or Highest Civilian award or anything?????? I ve seen Nastrodms's CD where his predictions about the deaths and world tragedy were explained... it was perfectly matching with the incidents happened!!!!!! Who knws... Nastrodamus may be correct also!!!!!!!

As Andrew says its easy to attach an event to a vague prediction after the event. Make almost any prediction now and sometime in the future an event will closely match that prediction.

I'll have a go to proove it, sometime in the future there will be a war between 2 countries, this war will be fought on a technological scale. No tanks will be involved.

There you go, I'd bet in the next 200 or so years that will happen.

Here's another, tomorrow somebody will walk into a lamppost.

Tell you what. Show me the passage in any of the writings of Nostradamus that mentions Sachin Tendulkar.

You can't. Because there isn't one.

All the people who analyse the predictions do so AFTER the event. It's called retroactive clairvoyance. Interpretations are put on them to try and make them fit events. Every attempt to predict the future using the writings of Nostradamus has failed.

FACT: There are no predictions of the future in the writings of Nostradamus.
FACT: Predictions are gained by analysing his writings AFTER the events.
FACT: EVERY attempt to predict the future using his writings has FAILED.

If you want to post more on Nostradamus, post in the Jokes forum as that is the best place for this bollocks.

The passage quoted in the original post is indeed from Nostradamus. Which is why it's so vague and can be twisted to fit whatever you fancy.

Who really cares, Sachin Tendulkar is a batting legend and always will be. You can't deny it. As for Nostramadus' predictions, what are we supposed to do if theyre true? So what? Should we try and prevent it? Or should we acknowlegde his genius? I think Nostramadus should get some sort of more productive hobby. :D

Don't worry about it. Nostradamus' writings are a load of rubbish. There isn't a single prediction in any of them.

He was an astrologer, which automatically makes him a phoney.

well who knws whts going to happen in future.....
Yes, u people re right..... Noone makes predictions!!!!! They just match the events occured with some people's sayings and try to match it and declare tht as a prediction!!!!!

But at the same time..... I like sachin so much!!!!! So i will be partial to this prediction(hehehe) and hope it will hapen!!!!!!!!!!!

How does it make him a phoney? Were you around at the time? Did you see him make the predictions?

You are a mod. You should be less biased and respect people's opinions and try and post something constructive, not flaming anyone who wants to believe in the supernatural.

Being an astrologer makes him a phoney because astrology is a load of rubbish. And that's a fact.

I am not obliged to respect any opinion, only an individuals right to have that opinion.

I've nothing against people believing in the supernatural, but believing something that is demonstratably false is just dumb.

I would not presume to know what reason Michel de Nostredame wrote his prophecies for nor why he felt them so important as to continue writing up to the moment of his death.

What I can say without doubt, is that without detailed knowledge of 15th century France and its geography, without any understanding of the sort of occult texts Nostradamus read, without a solid grasp of Old French, Provencal, Latin, Italian and Greek or indeed, without a clean, untranslated copy of the Prophecies before you, there is little hope of you understanding the meaning.

It may be easy to retroactively apply prophecy to an event, but it's even easier to "accidentally" edit and mash it to suit your own agenda.

After all, that's how the Nazis did it.

Yeah that's true, astrology is absolute rubbish, pseudoscience. It outlines vague notions or events that can relate to basically everybody, hence its fame.

I'm not very sure about that.
His writings are always vague, we don't know the context. But i'm not very sure if this is from his original works. I've read several works of his..this doesn't sound original.

astrology might be rubbish. But its not a fact.
Science cannot prove/disprove it.
