What is the point of this discussion.... : . You guys have left Tendulkar and cricket and are discussing about the authenticity of astrology. Whats happening here??????

I don't really know. In any case, Nostradamus' prophecies aren't based on astrology, rather, they are based largely on occult works and practices, to the extent which it is believed that he may have been directly copying from a number of prophetic tomes, as was the fashion of the time (word-for-word knowledge of Classical text was revered). He refers to astrology only as a form of dating, eg, "Sun in Aquarius" would mean approximately February, or sometimes to imply characteristics.

Some idiotic Pakistani astrologer (Disclaimer: not referring idiotic to the word Pakistani) predicted that last year was the final year of Tendulkar's career.. we didnt believe it and it has been proved false.

I think he predicted that this year (the year he mentioned was 2006) would be his last year.I think he made a slight mistake coz i think Sachin will play & struggle till 2007 WC and will then retire.

I was searching for a picture of a plane for an assignment when I found a website with all these predictions that will happen in the next 10 years. Something was obviously wrong with the person because they said that Sydney will suffer a nuclear attack in 2005 :

Also, I think you'll find this interesting; Nostrodamus' teachings supposedly predicted the rise of Osho, an intellectual/teacher of a new type of phylosophical outgrowth from India. This is what Osho had to say:

Nostradamus never predicted anything. He made a series of vague statements that can be interpreted as describing events that happened after his lifetime, but these interpretations were done AFTER the events took place.

Every single attempt to predict the future using the writings of Nostradamus has failed. He has been so thoroughly discredited, it's quite amazing to discover that some people still believe that he could predict the future.

You are correct mate!!! All the events only after happening were matched with his sayings!!! From some of his sayings thy predicted that world war3 would start!!! But i think that it wont happen so!!!

No, they are not good. They were interpreted to fit the events AFTER THE EVENTS HAPPENED. NOBODY PREDICTED THOSE EVENTS USING THE WRITINGS OF NOSTRADAMUS BEFORE THE EVENTS HAPPENED!!!!
