Rugby League Nrl 2011

What a day of footy. Two comebacks. I couldn't believe the Raiders comeback and after about 60 minutes with the Warriors leading 22-4, I was expecting a comeback and exactly the same thing happened. Now I hope the Roosters win tomorrow night. I tipped them as I reckon they'll win. Storm without their #1, #7 and #9, I think won't be able to win.

Thanks for the superb kicking performance today, Maloney. I think our last three wins have been comebacks from a pretty down and out situation.

Panthers 18-10 with about 10m on the clock, finished 18-20
Knights 16-10 with just over 10m I think, finished 16-17
Warriors 22-4 with 20m on the clock, finished 22-26

So, the strategy from here should be to be down coming into the last 15-20m.

The Warriors always manage to cock up when they have a healthy lead. If only Vatuvei had hung onto the ball when he tried to dot down early on.

It's funny when a scrap breaks out and the commentators say this isn't good etc, when to my knowledge 95% of the audience love them. It happened in Origin one, and again today in the Warriors/Tigers match.

Not sure how the Warriors lost that though, on another day the score could of blown out and they could have won 40 - 4 or something.

And what about the Junior Warriors as well, there's just so much talent here for only one team, so surely a second New Zealand team has to be on the NRL's mind.

Ok, this is such a joke. I thought the video refs were meant to be able to make good decisions. All this season watching Manly games, I'm pretty certain at least one video ref decision in each game goes against Manly despite it being obvious. Last week, the Souths winger bounced it over the line, obviously no try but the video ref gave it and then with the Souths player a mile over the line and foot on the ground for a good second before tipping it back resulting in a try when the video ref gave it a try (although that was deliberate as he was laughing when he pressed the try button [confirmed by Gordon Tallis]. What a tweaking ██████) and then today, McManus was obviously short of the try line with the ball in clear sight but the video ref went with Refs Call stupidly and he gave it a try (I don't blame the ref but I do the video ref) and then the last try was the biggest obstruction I've ever seen (okay, probably a bit far) but Cherry-Evans was clearly taken out when he tried to tackle the ball carrier, which allowed him to put a kick in resulting in a try. These tweaking video refs need to get their tweaking eyes checked.

If Manly haven't been winning these games, I would be filing complaints each week about the lack of quality in referees and video referees this season. (And last season as well)

So, you are basically saying that having five referees doesn't help, right?

Well obviously it isn't if they still can't get decisions right. You may as well have one ref on the field and the other 4 as video refs and then they should make the correct decisions when one person is such an idiot that he can't see an obvious try or no try.

The hoodoo lives to fight another day. Have to wonder what if Croker hit that penalty. Either the Dragons would finally have broken the hoodoo or it would have continued and the Raiders could have been in the Final. Although would have been tricky since Campo would have been out.

Oh well back to now, the win against the Dragons shows the potential is there and we don't need Campo to win against the best teams.

Gutted.

This Dragons-Canberra crap is seriously the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life.

But well done to Canberra, showed a lot of spirit to comeback.

I do have to say, the refs had a shocker. Also proves my point that I'm not just biased towards Manly :p

There were about 10 stupid calls in the second half alone from the refs. I'm not saying that it shouldn't have been a penalty but the refs should have allowed play to go on when Fien threw the ball into the Raiders player. Fien went to pass it to Soward but then saw the opposing player straight behind him so he just decided to throw it into him instead. It would have served him right for the biggest milk of a penalty I've ever seen..

But good to see the Dragons lose.

I know its unlikely but I'd be frothing over the prospect of having Willie Tonga back in the centres for the Dogs' next year. Would solve our Idris problem and then some. Though he would command a $$$ contract as a free agent.

We're on a roll now, the offload is contagious. I went to the game at ANZ stadium last weekend, was awesome.
