INJURY SYSTEM

Injuries are random. Any 2 players will be chosen randomly in a random round using random.org. Degree of injury is chosen also by random.org.

Degree of injury (0-3)
0 - Not injured
1 - Can play with a minor rating drop (-1 or -2) and heals in one game.
2 - Can play with a major rating drop (-3) and heals in two games; if rested heals in one game.
3 - Out for two games.

Thanks you @Varun!

And this is just a suggestion, but to prevent the league from becoming injury riddled, you could perform another injury check with numbers 0 and 1 before doing the degree of injury (0-3) check. This is what I'm probably going to do, although haven't officially announced it yet. And I think 3-4 drop is too much, you want the injury system to have an impact on the league, but not singlehandedly disrupt a team. Anyway, you should go with what suits you. :)

^Both should be valid since Swann should still be playing List A and same for Hussey who is still playing BBL and IPL and also a bit of List A this year.

Well you are seriously rushing things up. 3 players in a round in a draft is too illogical.

Yes, need to finish this league quick so we can start CL as soon as possible.
And yea as this is MY league, any player that has retired from 'international cricket' will NOT be able to participate in this league. :)

M Hussey is also invalid.

Hussey should be valid because he still plays domestic cricket. Don't know whether Swann will ever play again though. I did see a few articles where it was reported that he'd retired from all cricket and not just international cricket. There's a possibility that he might turn up in the IPL or some T20 leagues now that his England days are over and he's still at a cricket-fit age of 34.

Perhaps the league manager could allow him to play on for a season or two just in case?

^Yup and since this is a domestic league I don't see why M Hussey is invalid for it. And Swann thing, I remember seeing his video where he said something like "I am retiring from the long format" or something..

Look at your squad rules. Nowhere have you mentioned that players retired from international cricket aren't allowed in your squad. I probably would have understood if Graeme Swann retired from List A cricket, which happens to be the format of this league, but he has not. Pretty weird for you to randomly declare a player invalid because of a rule in your mind which you never mentioned, and only did when we were going with a steady plan for our squad and now the players we needed are gone.

Moral of the story: never rush things.

I still think it's only logical to allow Swann given the situation and all, but I'm not impressed at all.

I don't wanna create any big fuss about it. I have allowed Swann to play the tournament. I did forget to mention that retired players cannot play the tournament, I apologize.

And I wanna know what you meant by "Moral of the story: never rush things." How does it even make sense? Rushing things when a player wasn't allowed to play? Seriously?

What impressing? It was a mistake, deal with it.
As I said, anymore discussion about this will be ignored.
