ODI Tri-Series (Malaysia)

Certainly has been some excellent bowling by Smith and Collymore so far. India's real hope now lies with the little master and Dhoni. By looking at the way the WI are bowling now and batted throughout the series, I'd say they will easily be the favourites to take home the trophy and possibly retain the champions trophy.

It must be swinging madly for Smith to have that many wickets already. All up to Tendulkar again, but Windies would be favourites given the way their batting has been going.

Even though wickets have fallen at the other end, Tendulkar is playing beautifully. Absolute joy to watch, everything coming off the middle of the bat and his cover drives have been impeccable so far.

Dhoni..... talk about playing like there isnt a scoreboard. Completely threw his wicket away in a time where they needed to stay in not hit sixes

This is pretty sad. In light of Tendulkar's comeback, everyone else decides to bat like crap so that the little master looks amazing (not to take anything at all away from his performances).

These all rounders are doing much better than the Windies actual bowlers have done. Doing a real good job for a team with only one recognized bowler.

which team do you support? fair enough we wouldn't see mitchel johnson... but we need to WIN everygame and most the players said they won't retire after 07 WC...
We don't need to win every game, that's obvious because even the most talented team is beaten occasionally. Thus, it's important to take time to plan things. Sure, we'll still have our players after the World Cup, but we can't simply assume our best team is always fit. As a result of the experimentation in this series, Stuart Clark is almost certainly out of contention, while Johnson seems to have taken his position. Would you rather Stuart Clark bowling in an important World Cup (or even Champions Trophy) quarter final and going for 14 an over? Or how about a completely untried Mitchell Johnson covering for an injured Brett Lee?

It's simply arrogant to say it isn't necessary to know how ready your 'other' players are. Your team wins you matches, your depth wins the whole thing.

why did india not play kaif and pathan i dont know. this is going to be west indies game all they way and fair play they deserve it

Cmon Pathan? Hes in there to bowl and he sure hasn't been doing that well. Even his batting took a clean bowled last game. India had no choice.

Pathan got the best batsman going around at the moment out and he got a jaffer by Johnson first bowl. Didn't he make 60 odd the other game against Windies? I like Pathan as a cricketer.

Pathan is a very good player but i would not drop him he had one bad innings in this series from the two he batted and i would not drop him i would drop raina for kaif

Pathan's bowling has been poor, good enough reason to give a fresh bowler a run. It does seem odd that they would pick jus the 6 batsmen, but I doubt their hopes could have hinged solely on Kaif.

West Indies have lost a few wickets, but cleverly they are using this dominant position, both in the match and in the tournament, to give their struggling lower order a chance to score some confidence. Four wickets gone now though, if they don't score some runs, they might be batting themselves out of the match.

i would play pathan i know he has not been bowling great but still he is one of the strike bowlers and he needs to be ready for the champions trophy. i doubt west indies will lost you never know but i think they will do it

They moved Gayle down hence not such a great start, if he was opening this match probably would be over.

TBH I don't really see him as a strike bowler anymore, if it wasn't for his batting he would be lucky to be in the Indian squad. Looks far too suspect on non swinging pitches.
