Ryan ten Doeschate after scoring 119 against England in the ICC World Cup, 2011

Ryan ten Doeschate

Ryan Neil ten Doeschate! The best associate cricketer of the ICC World Cup history. A handy all-rounder , brual lower order batsman, Tendo scored a match winning 106 of just 84 balls, against the dangerous Kenya side, 5th Match, Group B, Apr 01, ICC World Cup. Tendo is one of my favorite finisher and perfect player for no .7 position in my team ! In the 2011 World Cup, ten Doeschate played a majestic innings, 119 of just 110 balls and registered a memorable world cup ton against the well balanced England bowling attack. TENDO is also a proven and tested partnership breaker in the World Cup! Tendo is the triumph card, when team need wickets in the middle overs ! In the ICC world cup 2007, he took the big wickets of Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh,Dhoni.Ryan ten Doeschate gives my team a proper balance and aggression in the lower order. His excellent all-round ability makes him one of my deadly weapon in this team.

Sean Williams

Sean Williams the Batting All-Rounder is one of the most dynamic left hander Zimbabwer ever had. His ability to strike the ball hard and also play big is very handy for any side. He can bat, bowl and field really well and has helped his side win a number of matches.

Williams has a brilliant World Cup career where he scored nearly at an average of 55! He played 3 WCs of 2007, 2011 and 2015. His best innings of 2007 WC came against West Indies where his side lost quick wickets at the top but Williams scored 70 not out providing his side something to defend. 2011 WC wasn't a good one for him where he got to play just 2 games because of fractured thumb. 2015 WC was a big turn around for Sean Williams. Where he scored back to back quick 76 against UAE and West Indies. He also scored 33 and took 2 crucial wickets against Pakistan where Zimbabwe nearly pulled off. He also scored a 96 and 50 against Ireland and India.

He is also a handy bowler. In the 11 WC games he has picked up 9 wickets.

Shaiman Anwar

Leading the Associate teams in the tournament with the bat was Shaiman Anwar of the United Arab Emirates, who finished with an average in excess of 50.

UAE had a tough time of it in this World Cup 2015, but Anwar’s performances with the bat were a real positive.

Andy Flower

Andy-Flower.jpg

Andy Flower was introduced to the cricketing world at the World Cup and did not disappoint.

Andy Flower was handed his first ODI cap in the 1992 Benson and Hedges Cup against Sri Lanka and fulfilled a sensational debut by scoring a century (becoming only the third player ever to do so on debut) and leading Zimbabwe to post a mammoth total of 312. Unfortunately for him, Sri Lanka managed to achieve the target, becoming the first country ever to chase down a 300+ total. Nevertheless Flower was still awarded man of the match in his first game, and he didn't look back.

The wicket keeper-batsman went on to become Zimbabwe's top run scorer of all-time at World Cups and has appeared at the tournament more times than any of his compatriots.

World Cup Record:

Played: 30
Innings: 29
Runs: 815
High Score: 115
Average: 32.60
Strike Rate: 68.20
Centuries: 1
