Problem: Online Save Cushion for Quitters needs to go ASAP!!!

@HBK619 how feasible would it be to integrate a two way blind fold review system in the online mode?

to elaborate something like this.

I think people who lose the match and see it through or forfeit, should be rewarded something like FAIR play points, giving them a rating and should be part of the leader-board and match up board.

So the more fairplay points, the more likely they are to see through the match.
They should also be rewarded with a small badge after they reach fairplay milestones as this would keep them motivated, also BA could offer the people with high FAir play score something as reward.

This could help in giving better experience for people online.

The best way to go forward would not be to punish the quitters but reward the survivors.

Fair Play points for users after each match given to each opponent through a blind fold system so that they cant see what the other has given till they also rate the opponent.

So that we will know how good its to play with an opponent like whether they use cheap tactics like short pitch sponge balls, excessive appealing or field changing etc. and rate accordingly.

^^this along with the system i said before would make online a much more enjoyable experience.

Unfortunately it's simply not as easy to implement something like other sports games.

Cricket doesn't have a win condition that is easily put in as unless you're at the last few balls with exorbitant amount of runs left to make it's still open slather pretty much right through.

In terms of knowing who disconnected, again, it's not as simple as knowing that one guy did and one guy didn't. From our end, we can't always tell who the guilty party was, so we can't go punishing the one that we 'think' disconnected as we may be punishing the wrong person. You also have to be wary of not punishing people for having internet drop outs, power drop outs, etc. that are completely out of their own control.

We went through many iterations of what to do when a disconnect occurs, the end result came through working with Sony and MS and following their guidelines for what our game is. We are still working on potential ways to change how this is handled as we definitely hate the idea of people losing time for no result.
The last one is there. You can accept a forfeit if the other player wastes time and bowls a lot of wides or no balls.

The other games like FIFA do not give the win based on the match situation. They just give the win to the party that's 'still' connected irrespective of the match situation at that time. That's how it should be unless you find a better way out to ensure that the party that's 'still' connected does not suffer and the party that disconnected has some form of penalty else there is no need for online leaderboards as they lose their authenticity since people who are losing will just disconnect. Yes there would be some that get do due to network or powercuts, but it's ok if they have to suffer occasionally for the overall good of the online community.

Obviously the whole point becomes irrelevant if you cannot know who is dc and who is still connected.

should be simple this one, just like forfeit, a request to win should be sent and if it times out(probably 5 mins) with no reply from other side you should win.
it should be available to only the person who is still in game, i dont have the game but i think the one still connected would still be ingame right?

also a count of three such request will help to reduce both parties abusing it to an extent..
