If Dish offered the World Cup on HD, I might be tempted to think about having the WC with them. I recently got a 46" HDTV and upgraded to a HD DVR (722k) with Dish. I can record 53 hrs of HD programming. Can record 4-5 India games at a stretch and delete each game as the new one comes. Hope Dish offers it in HD.

No idea about Dish, but AirTel's DVR will be providing the WC in HD, it is official now.

If that means on demand HD match replays that is awesome. We don't even get that for any sport here, on TV that is.

Neo cricket is absolute garbage.... they goto ads a millisecond after a wicket falls can't even freaken see the replays...

does willow.tv goto breaks?

I am sorry, but Neo is very good in such matters. They never let the viewers miss the replays. Ten Cricket on the other hand is pathetic. Sometimes just as the ball touches the willow in the last ball of an over, the begin the advertisements.

um i am watching it right now and they goto a break just as the umpire raises the finger....

Yes that will happen but what Neo does is that out of the many replays that are actually shown (they get the signal from NZ for the on-going series), Neo always makes sure that its viewers at least manage to see the last one. They often stop the on-going advertisements too for the replay to be shown.

I have missed quite a few... anyways you are entitled to your own opinion and we can agree to disagree.... I will not be watching any cricket on Neo while you surely can... there its settled :)

And you think that's good? That's awful coverage, when something isn't shown on SKY (A good broadcaster who lets you see everything you pay for) I sometimes use those Neo cricket and Ten sports streams, which is all good for me because it's free, I'm not complaining there. But I don't know how you Subcontinent guys put up with that coverage and actually pay for it though, I wouldn't pay a cent for that garbage. Now it's settled :p

We don't need to pay anything extra for it here. I use AirTel DVR and it provides me all the TV channels for just 360 INR ie aprroximately 8 USD or 10 NZD.

North American guys - did anyone find out if Dish is going to have World Cup in HD (or just standard definition)? I have done a rethink and I am planning to go with Dish if its HD.

I am in Canada and want to catch most of the games. What online subscription packs are avaliable? I know about willow.tv and it is a killer deal but only for the US.

Direct TV all the way

if you are looking for online subs. then I wouldn't. Even if they are cheap, they aren't worth it. I'd rather watch em on those free online streaming, I've found some good ones over the years.

But there is one for $35, idk if I am allowed to post it or not.
