Open Beta Testing - [PCCS 0.1.5]

Cool, can you check what .NET version you have? I'm not sure why it's not working for Funky.

Also, general message to everyone, feel free to post screenies, comments, etc.! This is a free for all thread for the Open Beta 0.1.1.

Gotcha... on that note, though, I am expecting a few bugs on the extras side, so watch out for it. Currently my sim engine is supposed to support multiple extra events on one delivery. For example, a wide that goes for byes. Or a no ball that goes for leg byes. It can get even more complicated if you have something like a no ball that goes for runs and results in a catch attempt.... I'm sure there are some bugs there!

3.5, I downloaded it a while back when you recommended we'd need it.

Cool, cool.

I'll try to put up a 3.0 target version to see if it changes anything, Funky. However, I'd suggest updating to 3.5 asap since I haven't figured out how to do all this stuff automagically. :)

Extremely sorry sohum bhai I have downloaded 3.5 today morning and not 3.0 just to use your simulator and I am using Windows XP SP 2

BTW I downloaded Netframe work 3.5 not 3.5sp1

Just did random lineups, i'm wondering if we'll have to choose a new lineup for every match or not?

Hmm.... I can't say I have any idea what's happening. There should be a "see what's in this error message" section on the Don't Send dialog. Is there a way you could get me a screenie of that?

Right now, yeah. That's because I'm not updating the state of the match. Once I do that, I'll consider putting a function in that loads the last line-up into the match.

Funknath, that error message was strangely useless. :P Please try these steps:

1. Uninstall the product using Add/Remove Programs
2. Download the debug version.
3. Install as described earlier.

I'm hoping that this will either work or provide some more meaningful error messages.

sohum, would you like my code I'm using for editable commentary? It should be fairly portable, and its a pretty good system IMO which I've designed. :)
Sure, why not? It's VB.NET, right? I haven't really thought about the whole commentary engine aspect yet so it would be nice to get some ideas.

just downloaded it, had some problems finding the 'file' button. Eventually i found it, the dark green and black clash quite a lot, why not change the file button to white.

Ok, i gave it a whack. Created Lord's as a Stadium and played Eng vs Aus.

I've also created Jonathan Trott, Batting 75, Bowling and keeping 0. I set him as a sheet anchor, and a middle-order aggressor.

No, its C++, but its some very easy code, I'll PM you now.

Sohum, it's a brilliant start, but if I have one complaint it is that the scores are perhaps a little too high. The average score for this seems to be 190-200, and I think in most Twenty20 matches the average should be about 150-170.

Apart from that it is superb. Great effort.
