Well it's yet another 'Australian Summer Of Cricket' only seems like yesterday when The Ashes was being held at this time when Australia won 5-0 in the test series, the last test series they played here. But this year the tension isn't as high or is it? This year Australia take on Pakistan in what should be an amazing summer Down-Under, let's take a look at what happened the last time these two teams met....
Australia vs Pakistan, 2004-2005 Series Recap!
1st Test: Australia dominated the 1st Innings with Langer making 191 and almost you could say carrying the team by himself. The only other person who made a decent contribution was Gilchrist with a promising 69 and Australia still managed to reach a 1st Innings total of 381. The Pakistani batsmen had it all to do but didn't do much at all Younis Khan got the highest score of the Innings of 42 and Pakistan were all out for 179 and from there on Australia had a straight road ahead of them...
Australia won by 491 runs!
2nd Test: Pakistan had first go at batting and didn't make a bad job of it at all posting a nice score of 341 and young Salman Butt (who will feature in this tour) made a good 70 and then M.Yousuf played a classic getting a 100. Australia then came out batted just as well making 379. Close contest then but Pakistan's downfall was their 2nd Innings in this test, as they only managed to post 163 runs on the board leaving Australia 126 runs to win...
Australia won by 9 wickets!
3rd Test: Salman Butt once again impressed as he made 108 as Pakistan got use of the pitch first up again, they posted 304 for their 1st Innings but would it be enough? The answer was no, Australia came out and hammered the bowling attack posting a huge 568 and got into a match winning situation in no time. Even though Pakistan made 325 in their 2nd Innings it wasn't enough as they set a poor target of 62 runs....
Australia won by 9 wickets!
3-Mobile Test Series Fixtures!
