so you think everything you say does make sense?
I will leave that up to the other people here to judge for themselves. Plus that comment was not to your post Fardin.

Is Australia too playing in this series? :D

I saw this thread for the first time and read each and every post and it took some 1 and half hours. And that much time when I neglected a few cause they were too long or were written in a way that was hard to understand. Perhaps we could collect all posts and make a book out of it, just like research papers. :D

Staring at the screen for such a long time is causing some sort of trouble in my eyes and I should really visit an optician (and that too has to be done very soon).

There was talk about Pakistan's chances, then suddenly India got in from nowhere and this thread became some sort of India's 2003-04 tour vs Pakistan's 2004-05 tour.
I think there are a few people who should rather become lawyers (pronounced liers) cause they justified their point with as many lies and truths as possible. It was just as funny and dramatic as a court scene from a Bollywood movie or from a Jim Carey movie the name of which I don't remember. There has also been mention of Pakistani players form, discipline, etc. but its looks like Aussies are no party at this conference.

Maybe everyone admits this series is a formality and Pakistan(actually any team) are not within cooey of Australia.

Everything you said seemed to make sense somewhat until you said the last line... that just doesnt make sense to me....
Do you actually think that Pakistan would have been able to chase 564 runs in fourth innings??

this series is gonna be a white wash. Face it, Aus are too good for any team at the moment. Theyve got brett lee on the side lines. That says it all!

My reason for saying that was, if Pakistan HAD played out of their skin, would they be really chasing 564 runs in the last innings???? The whole point of "playing out of your skin" is that the team is playing so well that Australia wouldnt have had a chance so how would they set a target of 500+? Its just a question of the phrase you used in that context.... you limited Pakistan's good playing to only the 4th innings which did not make sense to me.

I just limited it to the 4th innings because what was done was done... If not as bad as 72 all out, they would have scored 400-450 max and still lost the match. they let Aussies off the hook after Shoaib's excellent performance and then batted badly in first innings... All I was saying was that Pak had no chance in fourth innings to score 500+ runs how much ever they tried.

Let's hope Inzi and co. can literally play out of their skins in the second match with Shoaib-Sami-Razzaq-Kaneria firing on all cylinders (too many cliche words) to win the second test match handsomely... Pak has the firepower, they somehow need to clean the carbon deposit from their spark plugs. (umm.. thats how Sidhu would have said it :)). Cheers!!

You want to tell us who is lying here? I thought everyone was expressing opinions here... but lying??? Maybe you should explain that a little.

I dont even know what that sentence means.

I thought pakistan did really well with youhana and younis khan two specialist batsman making a good conterbution with partnership of 100 odd.Pakistan really have to put a decent target on the board around 400 plus.i thought razzaq was really struggling in the first few overs. It would be much better if he does what he usualy does in odi's that way he could put a decent score rather then stopping every bowl.it wont help pakistan much.As of now i really want asim kamal to bat well in this test match he needs to prove him self other wise he wont fined a place in the pakistan line up.
(1 day) pakistan,6/318

I dont think they will be a challenge at all,a white wash seems most likely

Australia Vs. Pakistan

2nd Test, Melbourne (End of Day 1)

Pak (1st Innings): 318/6

Yousuf Youhana: 111
Salman Butt: 70
Younis Khan: 87
Kamran Akmal: 16*
Abdur Razzaq: 1*

Gillespie: 3/72

Great Captain's knock from Youhana. Good batting by Butt and Y. Khan. I really thought Butt would score a century (looking at the way he was playing) but was unfortunately run-out. All the best to Pak for tomorrow. I hope they cross 400 runs and give Akhtar and Sami enough runs to bowl aggressively.

Unexpectedly good innings by Pakistan. They made quite a respectable total. They can now look to win the match(very unlikely though)
