man this thread is abt Pakistan in Australia...when Pakistan visit India we will thrash it out then..a little reminder here that we are talkin international cricket here and faster fools who break their back are much worse than a lone man who can pick 434 INTERNATIONAL wickets...durrani1 said:

Yes my wonderful Pakistani batsmen are playing well against WA. Reduced to 78/5 by people called Magoffen, Dorey and Edmondson. I bet they will play better against people called Mcgrath, Kasprowicz, Gillespie and Warne. I am SOOOO looking forward to this series.
And for both the Pakistan "supporters", I suggest you read my post again before you critique my patriotism. Saying Pakistan will lose does not make me any less patriotic, just makes me more realistic than you two idiots. And if you find it hard to grasp that concept, I dont need any more proof for my claim that you both are children on crack.
for your own sake man, if you love him so much can you at least spell his name right???? 10 times and only one is correct. And for all the number of times you have mentioned that he has played well I can tell you triple that number where your dear Shoaib has completely lost Pakistan the game.

I have seen people like Majid Khan and Abdul Qadir at the height of their powers. I will even admit to crying when Pakistan won the cricket World Cup when you were three years old and the hockey world cup when you were 5.... do you even know what kinda feeling that was? 1) Pakistan last won against Australia in a test series - any conditions - home, aus or neutral in 1994/95...in Pakistan 1-0...
2) Pakistan last squared the series in Australia 26 years back 1978/79...
3) Pakistan last won a test in Australia in 1995-96...
4) Last two series(tests) against Australia- Pakistan have lost 0-3
5) The latest - Pakistan lost two more wickets in 31 overs to reel at 206/7...Razzaq and Sami are putting up a good fight though... of course the opposition is W.A. and not Australia...

Lets stay on the topic . But before that , i would like to make one thing clear to FARDIN and DURRANI --- None of us in this forums are questioning Pakistan`s ability or talent to win in Australia . True , similar things were said about india just before they toured Australia in 2003 but they surprised us all . If u people think that u are die hard Pakistani supporters ,u need to be good cricket followers first . You cannot just question the abilities of one of the gr8 fast (fast medium bcoz u r very obsessed with pace) bowlers like Kapil Dev , 434 wickets have to be earned in any form of cricket leave alone test cricket whether u r a fast bowler or a 130kmph bowler ! So just think before u post something like that .
Myself,Prashant(sachinisgod) and Shahid have written quite a few long posts to explain these things to u but u people seem to think that u can tell us about Pakistan`s prowess only by insulting the Indian team . Just grow up guys .

Staying on topic now, Its good that Pak is playing WA at WACA. They will now know what they can expect from mcGrath and Co. and try to prepare themselves.
In short period, we have seen that Butt, youhana, and Razzaq are in decent form witht the bat. pak now need inzi to step up. In order to win against Aus, atleast one batsman from Pak has to go on and make a huge score (probably 170-200+) with rest of batsman playing around him. I am hoping the batsmen capable of doing that are inzi, youhana and butt at this stage.
Also once again, opening partnership is crucial and Pak atleast needs not to lose a wicket in first 15-20 overs scoring maybe 50-60 runs. This will make life easier for youhana, inzi... coming down the order.
Lastly, india in last series down under found gems in form of Balaji and pathan. I hope Pak too finds some gems in new fast bowlers like Khalil and Asif. Aus tour will be tough but by the end of the tour we will get to know who has the balls to compete in international cricket.

Now thats called a really Aussie Slip Cordon...saw this happen once when McGrath was bowling to a Zim batsman and once in a TV program called Legends they showed a clip of Lilee bowling to a English batsman...both had 9 men in that cordon(gullies included) though...

Yeah I've seen something similar earlier, except that picture was black and white and there were 10 fielders in the slip cordon (including the keeper).

welcome to reality kiddo... now that you are a true follower, let me tell you.. never lose your faith even though your mind is telling you its impossible... thats what makes this game so much fun. I am rooting for Pakistan to win 3-0 too but that does not mean I believe thats what will happen. Just keep your patriotism and faith separate from your intellectual reasoning and you will be fine.
