dude i donno who is biased and who is not...but be thankful to God(pun intended) that a billion people in this country are interested in the game called cricket...else this game called cricket esp in Asia would have been extinct long back...it is these people's interests, money and acumen that fill the stands and ICC banks accounts...says who - Imran Khan in his article in a magazine called Outlook...yeah but of course he was a fixer too - right?

well, I would be very happy if a Pakistan team can beat the aussies in australia...but if they could not score 100 in two innings in sharjah against them...what are they gonna do in Perth and Melbourne... God help them! well it was a good show yesterday but I think someone wrote here that the Chairman's bowlers were oldies!!! I donno...but there were at least three good players in their team - Langer, Hussey and Goodwin...so Pakistan fan's optimism is justified...keep it up but tone it down...

This is so f#$%ing funny... I had not read this thread yet and just found myself laughing over the comments here. I am a Pakistani thru and thru, and would root for them anytime anywhere, just to make my following comments clear.
I think the pakistanis who are posting in this thread are all children on crack cocaine. If they really believe that Pakistan will manage to beat Australia, then really they deserve to be shot. Pakistan does not stand a chance. Of course I will be hoping we do well, but come on.. be realistic for a change. We will see the batters choke as usual and we will be lucky to escape with a draw.
And by the way, Shoaib Akhtar is a spoilt brat who would never be in MY team if I ever was the captain (hypothetically). Sooner or later someone has to realize that he is a selfish unpatriotic idiot who plays only for himself and should be kicked out. Maybe India can put him in their team, I for one would be glad to rid of him.

I'm glad to see a Pakistani-team supporter who is realistic and also whose writing is readable! Come on, everyone! English is absolutely essential to future survival--it is too global. And globalization is the future. Getting too off-topic. But yes, everyone hopes Pakistan will be able to hit perfect form sometime around now. Everyone except the Aussies, that is.

Thats said like a true cricket follower...well frankly every non-aussie in the world will be hoping that Pak put up a great fight and may be win an odd test...coz that would be good for the game...hope Vaughan and Fletcher have representative members here :)...

well Shoaib Akhtar - I was dumbstruck when he did what he did against India in Rawalpindi...and he was let off without being censured...nope India cannot have such people...we may do well with our less aggressive, less fast...but far more committed boys from Baroda and Chennai than a Rawalpindi express! :)

BIOS - American Megatrends ???

shahid i think you are the first pakistani i have seen sofar who hate's shoiab akhtar. he has been a great contirbuter in the pakistani team ofcourse following shoiab malik and abdul razzaq.shoiab akhtar is one of the fastest bowler ever and he was the reason that pakistan won the match againt's india in the icc champoins trophy. shame on you calling your own people a child on crack cocaine.they maybe not as educated as the other people are in here but they have the heart they have they courage to tell the whole world that pakistan can beat aussie's 3_0 unlike you.pakistan might not beat aussie's 3_0 but still they are supporting there country and they think they have the abillity to beat aussie's 3_0.you think we are children on crack cocaine then what are you a babie on on crack. no offence but you really are an idiot. here are some example's of what kind of bowler shoaib akhtar is.

who won as the test match againt's new zealand. shoiab akhtar.

who gave tendulkar some hard time's again it was shoiab akhtar. probably that is the reason why sachin is god hate's shoaib.

who gave aussie's some challange when pakistan toured aussie's in 1999/2000
it was shoiab akhtar

who took 6 wickets in odi's againts aussie's in 2002. it was shoiab

who took 6 wickets againts new zealand it was shoiab akhtar

shioab is the best come this test match againts aussie's he will prove you wrong shahid'

dude Pakistani people should support Pakistan and not a man who leaves his team midway when only he has the ability to rip through the opposition's batting lineup...I personally like Wasim Akram - one of those few who can legitimately claim to have harassed Sachin, Inzy (one of the best men playing cricket) - someone who invariably scores against India and Waquar - simply great fast bowler...and rather than dreaming that Shoaib AKhtar can cause problems to Sachin Tendulkar...visit cricinfo...get those scorecards from the Centurion match in WC and Multan Test match earlier this year...you'll know what the reality is...Shoaib Akhtar is a braggart and nothing else...he may have the ability but his conceit over-shadows it by miles...

dude the only time i have seen sachin making runs againts shoiab was in centurian and multan. shoiab has and had alot of success againts sachin recently in jubilee saching was dropped and who created the chance it was shoiab akhtar. although i agree with you that wasim akram did creat some problems for sachin in and the rest of the player's but you should consider shoiab one of the fastest and accurate bowler ever.i agree that he has some atitude problems but we should not blame him on that it is all about ability and the accurace and how he contirbuted for pakistan and for how long. he had injuries that could haved kept him away from international cricket but it wasn't enough to stop him play for pakistan.

Come ON people(especially fardin and durrani)stay on topic!

wht will be the outcome of Pak Vs WA.I think M.khalil and Akhtar will do better in the bowling but wht about batting.Salman,Inzi and youhana be the key man for pak.

Shoaib = accurate then Alan Donald = greatest batsman on earth ;

Shoaib = accurate then Charlie Chaplin = greatest tragedy actor

Shoaib = accurate then Mt. Everest = a hillock near my house

Shoaib = accurate then Eiffel Tower = the place where my TV antenna is propped up.

man, u really are in need of some memory enhancing tablets...they can help you remember better what their records are against each other...getting Sachin out is not the point...getting him before he gets you is the point in question...well its useless to debate anything with you...but the truth is that you cannot change the truth by shouting at the top of your voice...and btw Shoaib came on in 1997/98 and today it is 9th Dec 04...thats 7 years...thats a long career???? Steve Waugh, Kapil Dev, Sunny Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram, Inzy - these are called long careers...and how does a long career justify a foul attitude? Steve Waugh - a real ruthless competitor but a great team man, Sachin - no need to emphasize more on his attitude then the fact that he played against Zimbabwe in 1999 WC on the very next day after his father's cremation, Akram - fought with diabetes but didnt stop fighting in the field...dude I really think you should make a draft copy of ur post - ponder over over what you've written and then post it here...coz at the first time ur fingers are not in sync with the brain...

Well we asians are hoping against hope. Here's the proof.http://ind.cricinfo.com/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/CRICKET_NEWS/2004/DEC/123574_AUS_09DEC2004.html
