If you can have a Captain who isn't even a regular in the Test XI, why not have a coach who's never coached before??

Who said Pakistan doesn't have an innovative approach to cricket?
He isn’t coach. He's Team Director of the Men’s Team. What does that mean, you ask? I have no clue

Really never understood the famous saying by Albert Einstein until you started following Pakistani cricket "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Or in the case of Pakistan

"Insanity is changing the management and the coaches, bringing in old players who have consistently failed and look to rehash the same old ideas over and over and expecting different results"

Problem is the PCB can never contain all its issues and airs them regularly.

I just hope the core group of players is not affected and Mr Genius doesn't try to dismantle Pakistans T20 side.

The problem is that Pakistan cricket is run like its politics - based solely on nepotism and bringing in a bunch of old ideas rehashed. The whole board is fired, and a new set-up comes in to change everything, and then they're fired.

Why is Wahab Riaz sports minister? What qualifications does he have?

Why is Hafeez the team director? What does a team director even do?

In a weird turn of irony, the likes of Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir will gain huge support because they are on TV bitching about the team - and Pakistan failed. People are looking for an answer.

I know damn well there is no way Mohammad Amir would have done any better - but he will always argue that he will and there is no way to disprove it.

A team director makes himself coach. :lol

Actually, Hafeez was one of the players who opposed Amir's return in 2016. Imad, however, may actually benefit

I completely agree, but there are so many issues across all boards, nepotism is neither unique to Pakistani politics or sports BUT the problem is they can't keep anything hidden or behind closed doors. It leads to not just press humiliation but also an uncomfortable situation which destroys the confidence of the cricketers. Just look at what Shaheen looked like on the field or Babar at the pes conference. It wasn't just losing the game but more importantly their own board humiliating them.

Another final for Sarfaraz's Karachi... It's against Peshawar this time, who have been boosted by Iftikhar and Haris. I expected some Karachi locals like Abrar or Saud to come in aswell but they didn't. Anyway, Karachi already have 8-9 internationals in the XI.

I suppose the World Cup players who are likely to travel to Australia are resting.
Peshawar and KPK have a habit of making domestic finals

Pak 2011 WC squad hosting a get together as the management of the Aus tour
Shahid Afridi batting coach. Will also keep an eye on Shaheen.
Umar Gul fast bowling coach.
Saeed Ajmal spin bowling coach.
Younis Khan fielding coach (to be replaced by Kamran Akmal in case of mid-tour resignation)
