That's a lame excuse.

Its the reality. Had I been 17/18 I would have done the same as Amir.

Once again, there are so many quality batsmen waiting in the ranks before Butt. (e.g. Alam etc.) and same goes for bowling

I don't think so that with three centuries in domestic tournament makes you give a statement that you are knocking very hard on selectors doors. Its an intrusive statement. There is a huge bag of quality players before Butt deserves a chance.

Asif, however seems more bright for a comeback but his reputation and his over-confidence still seems fishy... We can't afford another mishap

Asif and Butt were knocking hard at Inzy's door... Meanwhile, The HBL team particularly Imam-ul-Haq, Zaman and Ahmed Shehzad Crushed team Wapda with centuries and destroyed the selectors door instead of little knocks....

Asif/Butt, Better to catch up with your team performance guys rather than riding high on your little performances and making a huge fuss in the media like you have conquered the world and everyone is dying so hard for your International Comeback....

"Anyone" who loves cricket and Pakistan would hope those two criminals are never seen in a Pakistan shirt again.

What about Butt? He scored another century in the second innings and his team has won the tournament because of him.

I feel that if he gets a call back he should be because of the performance not because that He used to a good opening batsman and he is Salman Butt.. Its upto selectors to decide... I don't know what is the performance of Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq in QA Trophy. Ahmed Shehzad has also put up century in QA Final and I am all for him before any other opener. He was our established test batsman. Sami Aslam is already performing well, Hafeez has got his bowling on once again and we are short on an all-rounder So I don't see where Salman Butt place in in Test squad at the moment. He can be called up for One Day before tests i guess.. But Sharjeel is already there with Sami.. I strongly feel that Sami Aslam deserves much chances in One Day Cricket as well

Waqar now wants Salman Butt to come back, Just WOW!! Boy Boy... and on other hand I was seeing Salman Butt commenting on a local sports channel that Azhar Ali is not a specialist opener.. and Asif on another channel was critising the Pakistani bowlers in a taunting way... Well you are creating hurdles to enter into the Team gate for your own selves.

PS: On performance basis, Kamran Akmal is deserving a slot in place of Rizwan for the One Days.

Meanwhile, I was watching last month's clip of Hafeez Interview where he was saying that After Wasim and Waqar, The only match winning fast bowler was Umar Gul and then he denied that Shoaib Akhtar was a match winner.... Well... What can one say..... He actually forgot that Umar Gul was only match winner in T20's and was a good ODI bowler in his hay days but he was pathetic in test cricket. Akhtar had won many test and odi matches for Pakistan with his single handedly run through wickets performances.

Who calls him Professor?? Compared to him, I really like Salman Butt's sense of cricket, This is irrespective of that I don't trust him still as team unit man...

Hafeez, Akmal, Asif, and Butt need to be kept as far away from the team as possible. They're the opposite of the type of players Misbah wants in his team (people who are hardworking, humble and don't complain to the media). All four of them are arrogant pricks.

Another day, another slow innings by Butt in LOs cricket. And by the way, Imam-ul-Haq is really performing well recently.

Yeah Imam-ul-Haq looking good, but maybe Salman butt went slow with this innings because as you can see first four batsmen couldn't reach above 10 runs and he might played according to the situation to save wicket and give something to defend.[DOUBLEPOST=1482491469][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hafeez was so irritating in that interview as if he is a legend giving certificate to bowlers that who was the match winner. Shameless attitude

PS: Shehzad with a fast century Habib Bank Limited v United Bank Limited at Karachi, Dec 21, 2016 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Fahim Ashraf looks like a promising seam bowling allrounder.

Where is Hasan Ali? He is a lot better than Jackson Bird I believe. He should be given chance in Australia for test matches.

Apparently Shehzad is really playing well and scoring half century almost every match. The guy deserves a slot in the test side, Knocking far harder at selectors doors as far as the old breed of players are concerned. In the new breed, I haven't seen Fakhar Zaman but he has scored more runs than Imam-ul-Haq. I think Pakistani opening slot deserves a senior batsman like Ahmed Shehzad more than anyone else at the moment. Really happy to see Azhar Ali performing in Australia.
