Malik's ODI stats since his comeback.

Stats are piece of garbage when you are a burden on the team and do nothing when the team is in crises. Surely, He looks good while batting personally to me but he isn't consistent either and always takes chances before performing

Unfortunately the games were won by the defending team. We need to work on chasing from a domestic level to see changes at the international level.

He is essential to our team. He knows how to play according to every situation. He just had one bad match and you're bashing him.

I can understand the importance of him at this stage and personally when he bats well he bats really well but the amount of experience he has He had to be more consistent and play a match winning role. I liked the way he plays but he got to go consistent and play a more important role in future team performances. I just don't see the stats to judge a player, I am sorry for that. Plus he is always involved with that captaincy wheel chair going on. PCB is more at fault today that we are seeing three to four captains in the team at the moment...

Yeah I listened that myself later I came to know that his stance is that he don't to captain for one or two matches now lol.. I dont know though whether its true or not... I sincerely hope that you are right and the captain wheel chair stops for him and other senior players

Look at this scorecard. This is where we are lacking, there is no real intent by the players in the domestic circuit. How the hell a team scored only 321 when they are only two wickets down? Strike rate of 113 after such a partnership shows that they know, this score is enough and hence we are producing players of 90s mindset. On the top of that the other team was all-out even before 200 and this shows how unbalanced our domestic cricket is. Final of such a major tournament should never be this one sided but this a norm in Pakistan's domestic circuit with so many unbalanced teams.
All the legends have said it numerous times that there are too many teams, thus the talent is diluted and there is no real competition in FC and OD. There should not be more than 8 teams in domestic circuit, and the tournaments should be of high standards with same balls and conditions as for the International matches. Otherwise we'll stay at no.8 and 9 for much of the next decade.

ODI cricket team needs total revamp, and this is my squad.

2.Sharjeel Khan
3.Babar Azam
4.Shoaib Malik
5.Sarfraz Ahmed
6.Imad Wasim
7.(Someone who can hit big)
8. Sohail Khan/ pace all rounder
9.Mohammad Amir
10.Junaid Khan
11.Mohammad Irfan/Hasan Ali

Sohail Khan and Iran both need to improve fitness first though. Having 4 fast bowlers like the dominant West Indies from the 70's and 80's.

But, throwing out Hafeez and Azhar Ali is vital because they are useless players in cricket (Azhar Ali is only good in Test Cricket.)
Hafeez only scored in the 2nd ODI because of poor fielding by the Aussies, otherwise he was gone for a duck. He was wicketless and was a useless bowler.
