Never count Pakistan out! They are either outstanding or pathetic. I was just hoping that with Inzy, there will be consistency in selection. Umar Akmal has been dropped twice since the World T20 and recalled twice. OK, we are not experts like ex-cricketers, but we are not 'newbies' to the sport!

Is this an admission that there is a lack of talent in the country? Which I think is rubbish! Or, is this a confession from the selection committee that they were wrong twice? It just makes 0 sense and while I've not followed the Pak media lately due to the IPL and work, this looks like another media trial selection! Umar Akmal can win you games but he's got a toilet attitude and if the hope is that he will be a servant and ambassador to Pak cricket then I'll say we have a brighter chance to live on Mars than of that happening. Just poor!

Haris Sohail has been compromised for Umar Akmal.. Its sad to see... Plus I would like to see Shehzad Opening with Fakhar rather than Azhar Ali. Azhar can be utilised in the middle order position to consolidate a bit if wickets tumble from the top. I am not that worried about Pakistan batting. I am more interested to see Aamir and Junaid gets their magic back. If they performed in pairs, Boy oppositions would be in trouble. Fingers crossed! Junaid Khan's induction against India is Must.

Though I still consider Hafeez, Malik and Akmal as the most unreliable players..... But we have no choice now....

Mohammad Hafeez (I wouldn't include him, if we had Fawad Alam. Also his bowling ability can be a bit useful for us)
Shoaib Malik (Experienced middle-order batsman)
Sarfraz Ahmed (Captain)
Imaad Wasim (Pretty good AR and spinner)
Shadab Khan (Young Lad. Impressed in WI series)
Mohammad Amir (Main bowler)
Hasan Ali (Intelligent young bowler)
Junaid Khan (Great bowler. His and Amir dou can be dangerous)

Wahab Riaz and Fahim Ashraf - Backups
Umar Akmal - Should get a chance to dance and dab with cheerleaders

I watched him bat in today's match between Punjab and Sindh, the lad's young and powerful. He should be playing the role of the match-finisher/lower order power-hitter. Instead of Umar Akmal (from my line-up).

Thanks Man, If anyone should be given a ban for years and years on disciplinary issues that should be THE Umar Akmal. Giving him chance in CT is the worst decision by Inzy

Umar Akmal is very dumb. What is the harm of saying that he has food poisoning. Instead he says he ran away. What a JOKE! LOL.

Drop a player who was captain (Azhar Ali), then include him in the next CT squad. Pick up a player and give him one series (Kamran Akmal). Even though I didn't like his selection, once it's been made you have got to give someone more than one series. Drop a player for disciplinary reasons, then include him after a while even as those issues of discipline persist (Umar Akmal) without any real improvement in performance. Pick an opener who's been successful in the domestic circuit (Fakhar Zaman) and bat him lower than 4th in two games (or was it three?). Drop a young opener (Sami Aslam), who's had varied success in Test match cricket, take your 1 down batsman (Azhar Ali) make him opener and upset his rhythm. Azhar Ali does not look like an opener to me, I could be wrong. This organization makes changes faster than you can say "panic".

It's cartoonish really, the PCB. I wouldn't be able to write this stuff for a comedy show if I tried. Even before we get to the nepotism and favoritism, just simple how they do things is beyond belief in terms of sheer stupidity.

I would say I agree with your lineup, and impressions of Umar Akmal's role on the team, but I'm just not convinced about Azhar as an opener. I think he should come at the 4 spot instead of Hafeez during the middle overs, and Pakistan should try two young openers. I'm hesitant to say Ahmed Shehzad because he's struggled mightily but I would persist with him longer than hafeez, or I would even be okay with Sami Aslam. I really do think he has good technique and may be can be successful in limited overs cricket as well. His List A numbers are pretty good.

Wasn't sure you were picking from the squad. In that case I would want my more aggressive batsmen up top so they can take advantage of the powerplay overs and field restrictions. Azhar might be able to stabilize the innings better later on. He would waste a lot of the early overs as he cannot manipulate the field early on. Sarfaraz to open as an outside choice would be more appealing I think with Azhar in at 4. I trust Hafeez to handle the later overs more than Azhar, if we're only going by this squad.
