Yeah this was a Stupid Choice, I rather would pick a youngster and gave him a chance.
When it comes to big games Wahab Riaz most of time just gets hit all over the park, Don't know what Inzamam was thinking.
I'd prefer Shinwari for Hasnain and Junaid back in for Wahab

Yeah I agree I think they would be better choices but I guess Inzamam see something in Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hasnain that we don't.

I guess a little bit of sense prevailed with Mohammad Amir coming into the XI - but then Wahab Riaz came back so it was a generically wild Pakistani subjection.

Why is he? He averages 40+ with the ball and everyone knows that you can bowl short to him and he can't play it.

Inzamam and the team management has already pressed the panic button. Both of these selection announcements have nullified the work this management did in last couple of years.
First they picked couple of players just by trying them in a single series and then this backtrack and selection of Wahab Riaz. Junaid is a perfect bowler for the present day English conditions and yes like all other bowlers he has also conceded plenty of runs but for me he is still much better than Wahab. Also with Wahab, we have three 150+ bowlers with zero consistency and all of these bowlers can go for plenty of runs on a bad day, so get ready for conceding 450+ in a match.

This is highly unjust with Junaid and Abid Ali. Inzy decision holds no basis. I have been talking for Junaid for over two years. Under Sarfraz, Junaid has never been utilized well. The onus lies on both Inzy and Mickey as well. Junaid despite performing so wellI in most of the times when Aamir was missing the side he didnt get due chances. The management has always been more tilted towards Fahim and Shinwari. Junaid was the prime bowler yet he didnt get fair treatment. Even when he performed amd bowled with good economy rates in his first spells, Sarfraz didnt make him bowl more than four overs, remember those matches.
Even if Inzy replacements are justified which are clearly NOT. The way they have made these deicisions hve no logic. You announce a World Cup Squad and categorically named Aamir and Asif that they will only play in WC if they perform well in England Series. Out of nowhere when you see beatings, you get a U turn and exclude poor Abid Ali and Junaid. How can you drop an opener in place of a lower middle order batsman. Perhaps you were waiting for it. Abid was given only one chance in the entire series and got dropped based on one off match.
It is surprising that in this day and age when public voice is so vocal, Pcb selection committee and management is destroying meritocracy.
Wahab inclusion is a huge gamble. Its a giant step back and even if he performed it will only be a jackpot. It seems Inzy is quite influenced with tv media talk shows.
I seriously expect an intervention from Mr Ehsan Mani chairman PCB here. He should take notice of this. Specially the exclusion of Abid Ali has no grounds whatsoever and its highly unfair with him.
These guys make team based on their own relationships, comfortability and friendships. You would see thar Haris Sohail would be sacrificed in the initial world cup matches just to adjust Hafeez and Shoaib.
If Imam and Fakhar performed badly, you would have no choice but to open innings with Babar Azam hence your combination will get disturb again.
Disappointed with the changes. Btw, Is Yasir Shah still with WC squad ???

The PCB and and all its management staff and selection committee members have officially become a circus. I hope all of the doubters of nepotism can finally understand what all the criticism has been about. Grave injustices to deserving players. I hope Inizmam can sleep well at night. I know I wouldn't be able to if I did these kinds of shady things to anyone, let alone people who have been working tirelessly for their opportunities. Nothing more to say on this that hasn't already been said I suppose.

Frankly I don't believe that there is nepotism in this selection but its just a plain foolish selection under media's pressure. Aamir and Asif should have always been in the WC squad and preferring Abid and Husnain was a blunder to start with. Husnain is not a young Aamir, he just have pace and as the pitches get slower, he will be a dream bowler for the hard hitting batsmen to score.
There was no need to change the squad that you have invested so heavily in, i.e. Fahim Ashraf and Junaid Khan.
My gut feeling is that Husnain will get injured and Fahim/Junaid will some how be back in the squad.

If Hasnain got injured, Fahim Ashraf will be back not Junaid Khan I feel because Fahim is blue-eyed of the trio Sarfraz, Hasan and Shadab as well as of Mickey Arthur.
Moreover, I just came to know that Abid Ali is a wicketkeeper. How can I miss that point? Sarfraz will never ever want to make Abid as part of the squad. I feel quite sorry that in this day and age. 90's era politics and nepotisim is still happening.
