Pakistan tour of Australia and New Zealand 2023/24

This version of Marsh is still susceptible to the same issues that plagued him in the past like his lack of footwork but he’s got into the right headspace to smash every other ball regardless of how clean or ugly it appears.

True. Hope they don't try him as opener and all though. I might say Marsh will soon be dropped for Green considering he's always been in and out of the side, but this seems like a transformed Mitch Marsh. Like he's never showed intent like this in previous test call-ups and back then he wasn't a beast batter in ODI and T20I either. So the change in confidence could change fortunes.
I think he was still good in ODI's & T20 even back then, but most Aussie fans including me hated the idea of him because of his test stats!

Green in the long term will be our #4 - Hardie is also playing really well & is not far away from Test Cricket :)

Slept through it because i knew this was gonna happen.
Abdullah should have been out of the slips after that first drop. Agha took a screamer to get rid of Marsh there.

So including the first inning extras + the dropped catch of Marsh, it has cost Pakistan 140 runs. They currently are trailing by 241.

We have gotten more sporting pitches than 2016 and 2019, and the bowlers have shown some performance. Obviously a fully fit Shaheen and Naseem could have been even better. Fielding still crap. Abdul Majeed's tenures are always bad. Apparently they were dropping easier catches than the ones Abdullah dropped in practice.
Batting has been both surprising and disappointing. Was expecting Babar and the middle order to show up, but they haven’t, and they shot themselves in the foot by dropping Rizwan for the first match. His only innings so far has proven his worth, Sarfraz should never play again. On the other hand, I thought the openers and Shan would disappoint, but they’ve shown resolve and guts. Abdullah and Imam have blunted the new ball well, while Shan clearly knows that he isn’t going to cross 30 if he doesn’t try to score quickly, a conventional approach gave him an average of 28.
Another series of what ifs in Australia.

You heard it first from me, Pakistan is winning this.

Nice way of claiming a successful prediction/reverse jinx
Are bhai dono baju se kyu bolna?

Why speak on both sides? Lol! I am making a prediction not jinxing.

No i just said, either way, you can claim success :p
We are not winning this, Cummins is all over Babar.
Need him and Rizwan to make hundreds to win, it isn’t gonna happen.

In all honesty Pakistan need a one decent partnership to get going.

You need Saud to play the role today. He will make a 50 with Babar scoring a top notch 100.

Babar just needs a century here and I doubt anyone will remember his previous struggles in this country. Pakistan should still be favourites here.

In all honesty, Australia needs 2 wickets to break through and open the flood gates. I don't have much hop from the middle order, despite the inclusion of Rizwan.

It’s indeed very evenly poised. I do hope we get a Pakistan win to keep the series competitive going into the final test.

35 more overs for the day and if Pakistan score 60-70 runs in those going wicket less, 100 runs on Day 5 will be game on! Each run and closer to less then 100 is a key!
