Yet Rizwan's keeping is still of world class quality despite the workload. His fitness is nothing short of elite. There is no way we can have a poor keeper like Sarfraz who drops 2-3 chances every match.

Also - seems a waste to not go in with a genuine spinner as well. I'm all for utilizing the pitch but even Aussies will play Lyon.

That's mainly cause Lyon is one of the world's best spinners, and even in these conditions he's a valuable asset as a bowler

Pakistan's spin options are Nauman and Sajid, neither are world class. Can afford to go full-pace and use Saud as a part time option if needed.

After Lyon retires, I could see Aus use the 4 pace strategy more often. Depends on Murphy's performances

My bad! Abrar would have been in my team, I dunno what happened there haha

But he is injured for atleast one test, so maybe Sajid Khan.

Defensive xi we are stuck in defensive approach we have batting till 9 in Australia taking 20 wickets is the main problem Faheem Ashraf should not be in xi and a spinner should be in the xi are Australia mental for playing Nathan Lyon by that logic.why the use of calling sajid. smith and labusc hange are the worst again slow left arm spin and an off spinner would be good against so many left handed Batters.as there is summers in aus rn so cracks will devolep and spinners will be important
