Pakistan tour of Australia and New Zealand 2023/24

Defensive xi we are stuck in defensive approach we have batting till 9 in Australia taking 20 wickets is the main problem Faheem Ashraf should not be in xi and a spinner should be in the xi are Australia mental for playing Nathan Lyon by that logic.why the use of calling sajid. smith and labusc hange are the worst again slow left arm spin and an off spinner would be good against so many left handed Batters.as there is summers in aus rn so cracks will devolep and spinners will be important
When you've got Cam Green or Mitch Marsh able to bowl you can play a frontline spinner without much worry.

I don’t think MMarsh is going to bowl a lot and they’ve used Lyon even when they’ve played no all rounders too.

Wonder if Pakistan are just scarred by their spinners being toothless on these surfaces and have decided that there’s no use playing them anyway.

Did he really get disciplined for the most timid statement you could make beyond saying nothing?

You can see where ICC royalties lie...

I agree, a spinner is needed and not playing one is crazy!

But its also important to note that this idea of pace paradise australia is now a myth. Pakistan winning the toss is crucial, batting first even more so. In that light, having the lower order bolstered by Agha and Faheem (both have a lot to prove) is important.

Congrats to Australia on the series win
I actually agree after watching the first 10 overs. Yes there have been chances but Australia are one lucky team with talent. Also I do not think any team in world right now could come close to beating them in their own backyard like India did. Probably New Zealand with their bowling but no other team currently has a chance.

Good to see Sarfaraz in the team again, have always highly rated him as a cricketer-definitely a far better keeper than Rizwan.

Meanwhile, SS Afridi seems to have lost his zing. Perhaps, the guy needs some time off here. Australia looking quite strong in the 1st hour and the longer Khawaja bats on, the more difficult it is for Pakistan to make inroads here.

The Indian team were promoting their own army and weren't peddling in international politics.

Also, if I remember correctly the ICC disallowed India from using these after the game. So don't understand why the uproar here?

Welcome to the club mate.

Most wickets at Optus Stadium:

Nathan Lyon: 22
Mitch Starc: 18

No one else in double figures & what does Pakistan do? Drop their spinner! LMAO xD

Should we have a poll whether Warner would end with Test avg above Langer at the end of the series?

No politics please
