Pakistan tour of Australia and New Zealand 2023/24

Also what is Ravi Shastri doing commentating in a Pakistan Australia series when you also have a India South Africa series ongoing? Would miss his commentary specially in tests.
Blud is in top demand.

Works for Sky during English summer and now fox during the Australian summer.

Good batting start from Pakistan and much less doom and gloom I felt at the start of the series. A very inexperienced side has shown some fight which is heartening to see. It's down to Imam and Babar to build a long, long partnership now. Old school test cricket is needed, bat out the day, frustrate the bowlers and take Australia into day 4 with wickets in hand.

Btw applause for Marsh, yet another great innings by him when Australia needed it.

Positives form the newer bowlers but Shaheens fitness is a big issue here! I'd rest him and have some actual medical staff review his condition, even if it means limiting the bowling stocks this series. Shaheen is a great one for the future and needs to be kept safe or the PCB will ruin him.

Time and again it proves what Akram has always said, playing the T20's and winning the T20's aint helping you in longer format. Bowling in 120's already at the start of the day, the steam is already lost and all these bowlers look beyond mediocre. Also I had high hopes from Shaheen atleast but he has looked mediocre since he came back from injury last year. Another fast bowler that Pakistan is going to lose.

This really helps me understand what Dravid and co were doing by letting players rest for series. Bumrah despite his injuries and time off has not looked off ever. This series will end yet another discussion that Shaheen is not even close to being the best bowler in the world. T20 bowling != test bowling.
He's about 25, most fast bowlers reach their prime at about 30. So way too early to judge him any one way definitively.

As if their full fit bowlers would have lasted full day and test match grinding :lol.

The current crop although very raw looks decent for red bowling from What I saw.

Ideal lengths they were bowling and loos fit for Test match bowling.

I just hope they don't play Rauf in tests just to make up for the lack of pace. Naseem is there and he'll be back when fit
