Babar does lack the ability to rotate strike at will and looks like he need boundaries to get himself set, which is very common from the batsmen from Pakistani Punjab. Also this is one of the biggest difference between all good Indian and Pakistani batsmen, probably Javed was the last Pakistani batsmen to have both abilities of rotating strike and hitting big.

BTW Babar also looks little weak against spinners, so probably he is another good choice to open the innings for Pakistan. It will give him that extra 5-6 overs to get himself set.

He used to make up that with his power-hitting, that was his style, He delivered match winning performances in majority of crunch situations.

PS: Azam and Sharjeel should milk Head, Zampa and Faulkner as much as they can to have a chance. Starc and Hazlewood would be tough for hitting them out

Other day on Game on hai show Wasim Akram and Saqlain were discussing the fitness issue and said Pakistani cricketers needs to be as fit as possible even in off season and how some of the players have gained weight.
Their were heaps of praises for Virat Kohli - how fit and strict he is about his fitness and diet.
