I think CA will order the groundsmen to prepare flat pitches, so they can get five days' attendance money.

Pakistan didn't hit their lengths when they had the ball, it was a pretty flat wicket; no huge seam movement and the only real movement through the air was with the new ball. I don't know how long it will take touring teams to work out you need to pitch it up a bit. There was a bit of turn there for the spinners but the Pakistani's did not attack the stumps, most of the time it was defensive deliveries on the legs.

There was bounce, there was a bit of nip but I just can't see how a wicket could have been prepared better than that for the pink ball.

Hopefully they will figure it out a bit come the Boxing Day test in Melbourne, it's not good for the game to have such one sided affairs.

The wicket seems very good for Cricket unlike newzeland who made green tops due to immense fear.. But Pakistan lacks huge confidence playing in Australia... This test is gone 80%... I hope in the second test, They will come hard

They'll probabaly retire. Who else could you have? Salman Butt? Hafeez? Shehzad?

These are Pakistani's mate, they're not going to retire. Misbah might, as he has mentioned in previous interviews but Younis Khan will bitch about the fact that he has the highest test average for a Pakistani on national TV if he is dropped.

In my opinion, Fawad Alam needs to be brought in as soon as possible, and maybe Shehzad, only because Pakistan have spent so much time blooming him it would be a waste if they didn't give him a prolonged stint in international tests. I like what Aslam is doing in international tests and I just want to give him another quality opener so that we can move Azhar Ali back to 3.

I am happy that atleast Younis Khan has a target in his mind. He wants to be the first Pakistani Batsmen to score Ten Thousand Runs and I am all for him to do that. It would be a remarkable achievement. However, He needs to take responsibility in Australia. He still got 5 Innings left to make a mark once again and reply to criticism.

Pakistan management have themselves hit their foot with Axe by dropping specialist openers and made Azhar a make shift one.

As far as Asad Shafiq goes. There should be now stop on the talk about his solid technique. Technique is useless if you are not scoring runs for your team.

Openers are playing well but our major problem is a sudden collapse specially after breaks or when opposition takes new ball. Saw Wahab Riaz press conference clip last night. It was good to see the positive intent the team had

PS: Pakistan is making a fuss about Hazlewood... Not a good sign
