Hafeez at 4 doesn't make sense. A pure batsmen there is more helpful. Shan Masood?

The amount of chances Imam and Fakhar are getting give it half to Shan Masood and he will perform much better than these two. Imam needs to work out on his strike rate if Kohli is his role model in terms of aggression that he must work out on winning crunch matches for his team and need to vastly improve his strike rate.
Hafeez is doing what he knows and that is to be inconsistent all the time.
One thing was my concern in the last match was the captain not being too aggressive to win the game. I might be wrong but bowlers were too off colour and Shoaib was as if he is just doing a part time 9 to 5 job in sarfraz absence. I beleive it was a golden opportunity for Shoaib to showcase some bold decisions in this match having the knowledge that he really has nothing to loose and he is at the twlight of his career (if he really thinks so)

Hafeez has been is fine form so far in LOs. It's Malik that hasn't performed since Asia Cup vs Afghanistan

Overall, not a bad performance, as we were just one hit away from winning. Talat should've batted a little faster though.
And does Shaheen need a rest after every second match or something? Faheem was useless with both ball and bat. Pathetic selection.

The blunder shoaib malik did by opening the bowling and getting thrashed for sixes was actually proved the gap difference of winning runs in the end.
Pakistan bowling is going pathetic at the moment. There is no momentum whatsoever and the pity thing is its self destructed. The combination of Aamir and Junaid got destroyed. No Irfan, no consistent selection and shaheen has been getting rested for no reason. Faheem Ashrad... I am sorry to say but even de grandhomme and Olivier are much better than him.
Pakistan got panicked actually. Those run outs of Babar and Rizwan showed this that the the side couldnt take pressure.
I consider malik a good captain but he still takes up pressure batting second and I m not sure what point he wanted to prove by bowling the very first over.
The pleasing thing was Hussain Talat talent and Pakistan though got under pressure fought till the end.

It's not the problem of choking over here. If you save wickets for way too long in this format rather than scoring runs then you are bound to lose wickets trying to go for the big shot at the death. Pakistan started off really well but the runs came to slowly in the middle overs and that's where Pakistan lost the match. Also to add to it the bowling seemed average except for the spinners and Shaheen. What's wrong with the Pakistan bowling in past few months ?

The thing is Pakistan has always been chokers while batting second. If we see the score card. Only Babar Azam was the one who made up half of the runs. Talat supported well but with a limited ability he got under pressure.
This is still a pleasing thing to see that Pakistan is fighting this hard with their minimum batting capacity. The core problem at the moment is their bowling and blame goes towards Inzy Sarfraz and Mickey. The bowling combination has been destroyed they just saw quantity not quality. Picking up shinwari was the biggest mistake. While Shadab has to learn abt some T20 bowling. Hasan Ali is out of form and Aamir has forgotten how to swing the new ball. They need a major surgery here and some scolding as well that there is a bench strength out there if you dont perform.
The youngest kid Shaheen Afridi was way better than Hasan and Shinwari.
We need a solid batsman down there in middle order who can accelerate as well. Hafeez should be a part of T20 squad. The relu kaataas approach wont go well and its been exposed.
What point was to induct Rizwan if you really dont have confidence on his batting ability. If you had the confidence on his striking abilities and form you wont be sendinf the tail enders before him and please dont try to make Shahdab and Hasan Ali as all rounders. Let them focus on their bowling. Their batting should come as bonus but you are destroying them by promoting them above specialist batsman even Sarfraz was hiding behind them instead of leading from thr front.
I'd love to see Sarfraz back in side. If not as captain than atleast as wicket keeper. Though I was wrong, I think Shoaib hasn't learned much from his past captaincy. He too much believes in run chase but he should understand that bowling has always been our strength not run chasing

For Pakistan's sake, I really hope they don't take Usman Shenwari to the world cup. I can see a few batters lining him up. If him and AB are in different teams in the PSL, I expect him to get a caning to remember. If they have any common sense, they will ask Amir to miss the PSL and go back and rest or do whatever he has to to start bowling 140+ and get the ball to hoop around again. He's accurate, but his venom is almost nil now. And god knows what it is, but I just don't understand where Junaid Khan disappears every time? What the hell is the matter with him? He is as good as anyone in world cricket.

Great win for pakistan,their bowlers were superb.and what a performance from shadab khan only 20 but already one of my favourite players to watch.

Although Pakistan lost series in all formats, but this team has a lot spark. We were hit hard in tests because Azhar Ali and Asad Shafique didn't perform, hence we need to find at least couple of batsmen with decent technique that can play long innings.
For ODI, we are again short of a decent batsman in the middle order. Harris Sohail would have been a great choice, but now I can not see him even in the World cup squad. I am not sure if Shaan Masood can bat in middle order or not, but we'll need to strengthen our middle order.
We played pretty ok in T20s and similar to ODI series, I think we were unlucky. Pakistan and Sarfraz has to plan his bowling lineup, Hassan Ali and Usman Shinwari should never be allowed to bowl in death overs.
I don't see Usman Shinwari to be selected for WC, but Hassan Ali should be used between overs 15 till 40th. Shaheen Afridi should bowl 4 overs at front 2 in middle and last 4 overs in death, while Amir or Junaid (if selected) should bowl from the other side in the final overs. Another sign of worry for Pakistan is the economy rate of Shadab Khan. He is bowling way too many of the conventional deliveries, I think he should try to stick with the googlies. Imad and Shadab are key for Pakistan in the middle overs.
