Pakistani Tour of New Zealand, Dec-Feb 2010/11

274 is too much on a turning wicket. Even part timers like Hafeez was turning it miles. Vettori though not a big turner will get a lot of grip from the surface and with his line and length he will rip apart the Pak batting. Unless somehow Pak makes a 100 opening stand, I don't see Pak chasing 274 on the last day.
Agree completely

According to the metservice it should be fine there, with clouds, but I dunno what the state of the outfield will be

Yep, the weather is pretty much amazing. Sunny, and not too windy. Although it could be windier at the Basin.

I might go down today actually. It is the last test match here for ages.

Pakistan can only win if harper gets food poison :lol

----------

What i think about this match that Pak should not face any difficulty to chase it down the bowl is in our court right now. just play normal cricket score 170 in 2 sessions and 104 in last session and we are home

But from nzl's point of view I feel danny is the key i saw some real turns from Rehman yesterday(according to his standard of turning) so expect from danny as well

I didn't know the fifth day was started till I read your message. Now I am reading already a wicket has fallen.

Cricinfo: McCullum had a few words to Azhar as he walked out

I am guessing it weren't positive words from McCullum.

This p'ship is now very important for pakistan.i think they just try to see off the new ball and then play some strokes otherwise we'll easily loss this match in about 2 sessions :(

Dont worry Azhar is a strong build character.by the way i have personally met him in model town club.It is so hard to get him out and his record shows that

Looks like the umpires are now helping Pakistan. That looked like a clear edge live and as mentioned the deviation is a dead give away.

Interesting nothing on hot spot. I wonder if that would have been given even if UDRS was in place. For these cases we really should ask the batsmen after the match if he hit it, in private and confidential so they actually tell the truth. That way the umpires have an indication of what they should be looking for in future.

That was such a clear edge. The ball deviated miles and the ball was nowhere near anything else. I don't know why Rameez Raza seems to even be considering the fact that there wasn't an edge. It's bloody obvious there was a good edge there !
