there are also a few more who have not been mentioned in the poll.players like, Asif Iqbal,Salim Malik, Ramiz Raja etc and Saqlain Mushtaq who in my opinion is better than Qadir
I chose Qadir due to the fact that he had to prove himself and his style of bowling (which was looked down upon at the time) in Pakistan. He did well to revive the art of legspin as mentioned in his recent interview with Osman Samiuddin of Wisden Cricket.

As for the others, I don't see how any of them could be in the 'Greatest Pakistani Cricketers' list.

I rate Saqlain more than I rate Abdul Qadir,

Saqlain is a legend.

Imran Khan,Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis

Maybe I should've made this a Wasim Akram vs Imran Khan thread, lol.

No need for that.

Its obvious that players that have played that cricket in recent times will get most votes, as some of the members of this forum didn't even see the likes of Javed,Imran etc while they were on their peak!! The result is that Miandad has got just two votes, two votes for the guy who was instrumental in Pak most wins, while the guy that damaged Pak cricket/cricketers to a great extent is high on the polls.

Let me put it in this way, who are the cricketers that benefitted Pak cricket the most??

where's Zaheer Abbas????
Yeah,I'm also offended at the lack of Zaheer Abbas as an option in the poll.

Without any doubt, the best cricketer ever produced by Pakistan is Imran Khan.

Pakistan's crazy wicket taking bowler and my favorite fast bowler - Wasim Akram - 500 wickets in ODI, beat this Shane Warne :) ~ I heard alot about Imran Khan but never saw him play :(
U may not have seen Imran bowling but he was a better bowler, batsman & captain than Akram.Imran Khan is the best bowler & allrounder of alltime.

Care to explain this a bit more?

yes waqar and wasim were the sultans of swing, seam and cut..ofcourse they were the pioneers of reverse swing
The pioneer of reverse swing was Sarfaraz Nawaz who passed on his knowledge to Imran Khan, from whom both Wasim & Waqar learnt that art.

:laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh
Rameez Raja is one of the worst cricketers Pakistan has ever produced & Abdul Qadir was twice the spinner Saqlain Mushtaq is.

Rameez Raja was not the worst cricketer ever.

but will soon, whats the point of this thread anyway ?

What's the point of any thread? Discussion. In this case, discussion about who is the greatest cricketer to come out of Pakistan. Although, I would like to see more people providing proof for their claims.

We don't want contest on who was greatest, they all are great.
