Draft: Pane2ar Draft: Return of the Rabbits

:eng: :ar: Stanley Jackson (20 caps)

Stanley Jackson was a dominant all-rounder at his best: in Test cricket his batting stood out as he finished with five centuries and an average of 48.79; in county cricket his bowling was the bigger factor as he took 774 first-class wickets at 20.37. The biggest thing about Jackson though was his steadfast refusal to play selfishly. His willingness to bat however and whenever his captain (usually Lord Hawke) asked definitely left a dent in his batting numbers.

@Paranoid Kendroid

To complete my XI, Mohammad Rizwan, in my opinion the best wicketkeeper in Test cricket right now, and has made runs in all conditions, and Archie Jackson, a prodigy thought to rival Bradman in raw talent, who tragically passed away at a young age. They have 42 caps together, taking me to 50.

:nzf: :bat: Martin Donnelly (7 caps)

Martin Donnelly seldom played for New Zealand, because he was around in the era when the only way for a New Zealander to earn money playing cricket was for them to leave their home country behind and travel halfway round the world. He also didn't get to enjoy a long and eventful first-class career, because by the time cricket resumed properly after the War, Donnelly's 20s were behind him. Despite all that, he maintained a first-class average of almost 48 across 131 first-class games, which included the seven Test matches he played with a silver fern on his cap. His name will forever be on the Lord's honours board thanks to his legendary 206 for the touring New Zealanders in 1949.

Of course, Donnelly was a middle-order star so in order to make room for him we have sent Percy Twentyman-Jones in as a sacrificial opener even though his entire Test career was taken up by a pair made from number five. His first-class best of 53 came from his only innings in the top three, so maybe there was some untapped potential there?
