Patch Discussion - PS4 (1.08) & Xbox One (1.0.0.9)

I love the new patch and the new timing system. Makes the game very realistic.
But i have noticed one thing. While watching the replay of a shot that we have played, the animation when we play the shot is wierd.
Its almost like the character plays the ball too late and because of which weird animation happens whereas before the patch the player used to play the short very smoothly.
M not quite able to explain i guess bt has anyone else felt the same?
Are you talking about after 1.08 or 1.07?
 
I noticed this with the new timing window, especially cut shots.
Also if you notice the smoothness in animation is not same in certain shots
as it was before the new timing.
I haven't noticed it much.
 
You need to practice more to play lofted shots just like in real cricket .Before patch it was arcade like every ball if you play lofted shot then it goes to six but now it's very realistic thanks to BA. Batting has been greatly improved post the patch. But still few issues i am facing like playing outside off stump deliveries to onside for good and full length, batsman playing a coverdrive but ball is going to fine leg. I don't know whether this is a bug or not .Very weird animation. Despite of this small issue game is well balanced now.

Absolutely Facing the same issue of weird animations....

A pull shot animation when Square cut/ drive is executed OR a cover drive animation for an on drive...or a late cut to third man animation for a flick towards backward square leg...

Despite those being authetic cricket shot (Backfoot puch to mid on for off stump deliveries somehow they dont get executed in the game whenever we try to)

That apart sometimes despite a fast delivery on a grassy hard wicket the ball wont bounce as much & wehn we try to play a genuine square cut / drive of the back foot the ball simply passes well below the bat to the keeper for 2- 3 bounces...(the speed is 140km/hr) which means there is only a single animation for a square cut shot...which will work only when the ball bouces adequately till the level of bat as per the animation... & on top of that the timing feedback shows everything as good or ideal.....

Another example is the pull shot...
There is a standard pull shot shot where the batsman swiwels on his feet for any kind of bouncer directed on middle or leg stump irrespective of taking into account the ball bounce. As a result the ball hits the body or the batsman simply misses the shot altogether...despite the good ideal timing footwork & shot choice...

I like the animation. Its a treat to watch on its own but it gets ruined instantly when you simply cannot adjust it to the ball bounce/ height...THere should be variations of the same shot which get executed depending on the ball bounce (high or low bounce)

Isnt it unrealistic?? There should have a been a few more animations for perfect shot execution depending on the bounce...


It happens with spinners too...

It simply ruins the joy of playing that shot...

Hope BA can address them in upcoming patches...making the game as close to real as possible....

Could you please raise this issue in bug reporting thread mate as i am having some problem of video uploading software.
 
Have you played online or talking about this only after playing offline ?

AI don't have variety in their bowling. And thrn it's very difficult to judge those fulls ball whether it's coming slow or fast.

Hence you miss time and get bowled/lbw even if you play grounded/defensive shots

I spend more than 90% of my time on the game playing online. I have played 6-7 games online post the new patch. I don't see this as an issue when playing online. Agreed it will make batting easier if the difference between fast and slow deliveries be reduced, but even with how it is right now, it is fun and challenging. It gives something to the bowlers to play with.

Done that mate...Although I do not have a video recording software..

Hopefully the bugs reported on that thread get viewed by BA & then they try to address & accomodate the same
 
Did an experiment with the latest patch. Put the Batting modifers on, with Timing to 70, and others to 90. Was hoping to get a Late or Late Miss on all shots. Surprisingly many a times got a Early feedback. This begs a question, that increasing the Timing modifier up, actually makes the timing window smaller and not make us act early like the previous iterations. Really liking the change, can anyone confirm.

Mate you play on ps4 or PC?

Now that is a go to ball for everyone. The problem is that the shot timing is going very late or very early. Timing should be balanced little bit otherwise it is very hard to focus on every ball thinking whether it is fast or slower one and again prediction will come in place.

True. And other issue is batsman don't even touch that blue balls if it's get early or late instead brings pads in front of bat and baaam lbw.
 
Super Over Bug -

In online t20 match got tied and went to the super over. I have to bat first and changed the batting order but it didn't get applied.
After starting the super over innings. Game crashed on 2nd ball. Tried to resume but same happened again (its crashing on second ball). Please check. Thanks
