Yeah, this should be going by now..

  • 8 teams? 2 groups of 4. Play 3 or 6 games (Home and Away), then top 4 in a KO format. This should only be a quick tournament to decide the champion of the leagues, 7 rounds is just turning this into another whole league of its own.
  • 2 points for a win, 0 for a loss, 1 for a tie - Rest sorted out via Net RR.
  • 48 hours for a line-up to be entered. I think all the managers will be active, if not just get the league's manager to enter a line-up (after all it is representing their league).
  • APL, NZPL, ICL, play 5 internationals each.
  • Player clashes should favor APL, NZPL, and ICL teams over WPL teams. If a clash between APL, NZPL, or ICL just flip a coin, and the team that wins the player that time misses out next time. Or find all the player clashes (between APL, NZPL, ICL and split them evenly).

Done, how easy was that?

:clap:clap:clap

Great, showing off how good you're as a manager of any league.

This. Giving extra points in certain rounds sounds ridiculous to me.

And obviousley APL get Aussies, NZPL get NZers, ICL get Indians, then just do the coin flip, or split the other clashes up evenly.

Its good mate, but even this would end up in 27 games.
I guess its better to make it Round Robin amongst all the teams (matter of 30 matches) rather than divide them into groups.

Yeah, but what I was thinking is "Even luck has to be a factor in a person's victory."
And I've decided to remove that bonus round rule cause cricsim itself is related to luck.

=====
So, the changes as of now:
1) The line up can be given by the league manager in case of absence of the original person.
2) Bonus Point round (3rd round points system) is now similar to all other rounds.

Then just have 2 groups of 4, play each opponent once, then a KO format.. 15 games. Nice and easy.

My way of sorting out player clashes should work fine:

Reliance Mobile ODI Championship

1) Australia - APL
2) South Africa - WPL
3) India - ICL
4) New Zealand - NZPL
5) England - NZPL
6) Sri Lanka - ICL
7) Pakistan - WPL
8) West Indies - APL

Firstly clashes will be given preference to their home countries, so APL gets Australian players, NZPL New Zealander players, and ICL Indian players.
Because this takes out three of the top four teams, WPL will get preference to Protean players.
Then, its just a mirror of that onto the bottom half of the table, so Australia (APL) who are first, will also get WI who are last etc.
Therefore to see the full player clash preference table look above.
As far as I know there are no player clashes outside the top eight teams, but if there is we'll sort them out later.

There may be some cases where this doesn't work, like if a NZ player clash between APL team and ICL team.
I'll think of a way to sort this out.

I jus read somewhere that BOPV are boycotting :eek...
We are not :p

Callum that is a good Idea regarding the clashes for the top 4. After that you could sort of see the clashes and probably do it case-by-case.

And I agree with User and Biggy, If this league is considered the "Champions League", It needs to be alot more professional. Good Luck with this.

Here I am, was busy for few days, but I'm back now.
Will release the schedule now (within an hour), and start the tournament off on 3rd or 4th:yes.

Points System for Group stage matches & Few Rules:
- Winner gets 2 points.
- In case of draw or Tie, 1 point will be given to each.
- In case of match canceled by one team due to an invalid line up or no line up, the other team will be given 2 points.
- In case of match abandoned (with no line up), each will be given one point each.
- For the first time, I've decided to introduce the "Rain" system where some (3-4) matches will be predicted to get interrupted with rain and those matches are likely to be truncated and even may be canceled sometimes. The matches which gets affected by rain will be decided with the help of randomizer.
- 2 matches will be simmed per day.
- If someone (or his league manager) don't submit his line up in 24 hours, the match will be canceled and the other one who has submitted his line up will be declared winner.
- Giving line ups without following the rules (the rules will be put up in the thread of social group) will be considered invalid and giving invalid line up is equivalent to not submitting line up.
- If you are so busy, you can PM/VM me the line up.
