Hey any1 playing any game online? If I create a game,will you people be able to see it and join? I got a low internet speed connection,but I hope I can play.
Match Report
Just played a good game against Stevie, he's the best player i've played so far, along with cricketer112. Stevie won the toss and elected to bat first. He made a brilliant start to the match, the opening partnership was some where around 50, but later in the game when i brough on collingwood and swann i almost stopped him scoring completely, and wickets started to fall.
The chase for me started poorly, as stevie bowled well with the new ball. However once the opening pair finished their initial spell i managed to score more consistently. Hopefully Stevie got screnshots. I think he scored around 120-125, which i chased down in 17 overs for the loss of seven wickets.
I got screenshots at the end of my innings only, sorry.

sounds like a good match, good to hear that not everyone is playing 5-10 over slogathons
IMO, its 20 over or nothing. If you try and slog all the time in 20-20, you will lose. I find batting very hard on multiplayer. I was really surprised i managed to win, i think stevie was a better player than me.
For some reason he got tied down by Collingwood and Swann though, they basically won the game for me. Not by picking up wickets, but by restricting his scoring, on a seamers pitch.
The_gas added 5 Minutes and 56 Seconds later...
Alright, does anyone else with the PC version fancy a 20-20 game right now?

sounds like you are the man to beat on the PC version. What is your record so far? (against PlanetC users)
No mate, yes i have won all three of my games, but i ain't good at this game. If i played Stevie again, I'm sure he would beat me, same for cricketer112. However, in those games i played well. There are so few players at the moment, its hard to gauge who is good or bad.
PC users, where are you, anyone want a 20-20 game?

My internet went to crap around the 9th/10th over, started getting hideous lag (I'm guessing somewhere around 6pm, damn AOL throttling...). Some wacky things started happening around that time. The game was freezing completely for a split second as the ball reached the point of pitching, resulting in a lot of shots played waaaaay too late. That was a massive shame because the couple of overs before that with Swann were fun and challenging!
Didn't get any screenshots, forgot to get Fraps running!
I won't be able to play without the lag until around 11pm now (just under 4 hours from now).
If anyone's around then give me a shout!

Started compiling a list after began reading this thread only to discover NICK_GIFF had already beaten me to the punch. Is there any chance you can add the list to your opening post of this thread The_gas? I'm also not sure what cricketer112's username is; the game won't accept that nor "cricket112" which the_gas used at the start of his report.
Anyway, it's nice to see some of the old BC2007 faces around again. Will add those listed as friends. If you want to IM me for a game best way is via Steam - I'm Earl_CG on there too.
With swing being set during the bowler's run up rather than while the ball is in flight this should be far less susceptible to problems when lag does raise it's head

Hey Stevie, sorry to hear you had troubles. I thought it was my bowling, but obviously not.
Anyhoo, just played my second game against cricketer12. Always interesting playing him as he never defends, his aim it to hit you out of the park, and that's it. Can be hard to bowl against, but you if you bowl line and lengths, you will get him in the end.
Perhaps the closest game yet. I would love to see Stevie play cricketer112, it would be a great game. (guys if you're reading, make it happen)

Cricket112 got a great score of 160 odd (roughly) and would of got more but i bowled very well at the end and brought the rate down with the field back.

Has anybody tried playing a multiplayer game having applied the corrected names data file? I'm holding off in case there is a risk of conflicts if players data files are different.
Also, have people had to open up router ports as we had to with Brian Lara 2007? I can't see anything on this in the readme this time.
