It has been confirmed that David Coulthard will be loaned out to Jordan-Honda, whilst Rubens Barrichello shall slot into Coulthard's position back in Scuderia Ferrari. The veteran had an impressive showing at the Jerez testing, and will hope to provide a well-needed boost for the Jordan-Honda team. Coulthard will join alongside Japanese newcomer Takuma Sato for the duration of the 2000 F1 Season. It has been confirmed that Coulthard, Sato, and development driver Alex Yoong who replaces their test driver Allan McNish, will be heading off to the Mugello testing.

Will give the drivers another attempt. Unchanged.

Dramatic result at Ferrari's own circuit

A dramatic 1-2-3 in the second and final pre-season testing event underlined the raw, unbridled potential of their 2002 challenger. The fastest non-Ferrari car was Jenson Button's McLaren, more than six tenths down on the fastest Ferrari time but surprisingly two tenths faster than reigning World Champion Hakkinen.

It was, however, a poor day for the drivers loaned out by Ferrari for astronomical sums of money. Eddie Irvine was slower than both Johnny Herbert and development driver Kimi Raikkonen in his first run-out for McLaren, while David Coulthard could only manage ninth place despite being the fastest Jordan driver. Jordan must now be worried about whether they will make back enough money to overturn their 4.4 million debt and remain competitive next season. Franck Montagny, meanwhile, managed only 28th place for Arrows of the 33 drivers who tested.

You will all have about 24 hours to inform me of any changes to your driver line-ups before the Grand Prix is simulated.

No driver changes for us. I expected us to do a bit better in the testing. It will be tough for Hakkinen to retain his championship.
