PCPL - Discussion Thread (All Owners READ!!)

They own a club, making whatever contracts they deem neccesary. It is up to them to gain players, go after the ones they want etc.

Also, once all clubs are bought, i'll give everyone a price of the prize money. This way you can suit contracts to fit, such as a winning bonus. You may wish to add wages, in an effort to keep them at the club for the next season.

Obviously players are on One Year contracts, so are free to change at the end of the season. If managers, once found, tell me they want to offer longer contracts ill shape something up.

PCL Parallel to PCPL

Mr. MaC Usman G told the press that he is starting a parallel league to the PCPL because of not receiving television rights for Sportex TV. It is officially conformed that PCL will not be affiliated with International Cricket Council aka BCCI.

PCL Announcement met with no interest
Members of the PlanetCricket Community have given a collective 'meh' to the plan for yet another league. When asked for comment seven random people in the street didn't care when told about the news, and a further three said they don't trust the PCL management.

A PCPL spokesperson is yet to comment, preferring to continue eating lunch.

I really want to be in the league. After playing NSS, a new light has encouraged me to take part in here. Bring it on!.

I wasn't aware I was Mr.Sharples? Hooper, lets be honest, i don't like your attitude.

I'm not getting into this, as i don't want to go back to those 10 year old fights, i left them 8 years ago, obviously you havent.

Anyways, everyone get bidding :D i keep saying it, the more money in bids means the more money for winners.

Haha, are you my parent or something? Im sorry you don't like my attitude sir. I will try to rectify that right away. Left them 8 years ago? More like a few months ago, like when I was banned and you taking shots at me knowing I couldn't post back you woos. Oh I love how you think Im like 9 years old and your 40 (even though you look that age).

Supersoakers founder and ex-manager-captain Sohum Misra has thrown his hat into the ring that is PCPL. Backed by "investors" in Jamaica, the stingy yet successful businessman is rumored to have shown interest in the Los Angeles Lightening franchise. Speaking from his newly opened casino, The Taj Mahal, on the Las vegas strip, Misra commented, "This definitely seems like an exciting business prospect. Of course, the first thing I would do is change the franchise name to be LA Lightning, rather than something that happens when the sun rises."

Misra also made another comment about the exponential growth of acronyms in the Planet Cricket cricketing fraternity, but our journalists ignored him because Paris Hilton just began shooting a new video.

Mr. Sharples happy!

In an early morning interview outside his home, Mr. Sharples, is said to be happy with the movement of the PCPL.

"Its great to see investors interested in sides, obviously this is the first cornerstone to getting PC's best players into the teams."

He also commented on Mr. MaC Usman G's plans of a rival league.

"This is pathetic, i come with an idea and someone blatantly steals it. I'm glad to say i have backing to crush any advancement he may have. I can safely say that this wont be happening."

New unknown Cricketer Cricketman interested in joining PCPL

He has dominated the roads of street cricket for years. His batting is immense, his bowling is tight. He looks to kick his career off with joining the PCPL (if he's allowed to!)

Playboy gets involved

An announcement that playboy, Tom Baker a.k.a "The Sex God" is interested in buying out a PCPL team. His first offer is for the Toronto Tanks where he is offering 30,000 vCash. He is now waiting to find out if his bid will be a sucess

Sharples halts Baker

"However famous Tom Baker is, he isn't a law unto himself, and will wait in line like every other hopeful owner for a Franchise."

These are the bold words by Mr. Sharples who outlines that the PCPL is a fair competition.

Amist all the hysteria about buying clubs, Bakers 30k would be very welcome towards the price fund, but at the moment, its the Dublin outfit who are for sale.

Baker has yet to comment on his dead end bid. Will he wait for the auction? Or will his interests wander?

NEW BIG BID

Iloveireland has gone and bid 17 or 18K on the Dublin Destroyers, he is also asking if anyone wants to go into bidding with him now is the time to PM him. The bid that stands atm is all of his VCash that he has been saving in the bank. He is also interested in playing for the team.

After a previous rejection to join PCPL, the former manager and current stand-in manager and current captain of Merseyside Dynamos, Rameez Aslam has shown interest in joining the PCPL and is looking forward to join the Toronto Tanks.

ILOVEIRELAND MISSES OUT ON IRELAND

Due to his lack of VCash Iloveireland couldn't afford Irish Destroyers. He has decided to not go after any other clubs and is still considering whether or not he will join the rebel league.

Destroyers frontrunner dances on the grave of opposing bid
Big money bidder whitehornmatt has reacted with happiness as a result of the news that Iloveireland has dropped his bid for the team. Without getting too complacent, preliminary considerations as to the makeup of the team and organisational structure have begun to try to get the edge over opposition teams.

Rumours are around saying that there is further upwards movement in the offering price should the current bid be bettered.

Playboy throws his weight around

"The Sex God" has put a bid in for the Dublin Destroyers after realising his bid for the Toronto's was not going to happen. His current bid is 20K
