PCPL - Discussion Thread (All Owners READ!!)

Rhys pretty much hit the nail on the head with his post! The PCCL is the "real deal," as far as cricsim goes :)

The PCPL, although fun, has the cash rewards and allows much more management style ways.

The PCPL and PCCL will never ever be rivals, as we aim for two differnt things :) Myself and Treva (and Dean) agree things to which the PCCL won't be affected.

The Mc is first and foremost the sponsorship name :) The Sydney Stallions is the correct way the team will be named by me!!

I want to give my view on the PCPL International rule.

A lot of people are criticising it and I can see why but I don't think it should be. In PCCL a lot of teams werent posted and in some stages of the season inactivity meant in one game neither team was posted and then through no fault of people apart from waiting for for teams to be submitted the PCCL fixtures were being posted late.

I like this rule as it makes people post the team and now that the games for the 21st has been posted nobody can complain that they havent had enough time. You can also have around 4 people that can post a team it doesnt exactly take long to post 11 names or say 'same as last time please'

Thank you Ollie, i'm so glad someone sees it my way! You're exactly right, the rule is there to make sure teams are posted, its a rule, anyone not following it gets punished, thats the way everything goes doesnt it?

The PCPL is a lot differnt to the PCCL, as we cant afford to let it go stagnent, as its only a one month competition!

Ollie, you're an actual legend ;)

I was thinking of implementing a one-chance type thing.

That is, if you don't get a team in on time, then the first time, you get the same team as last game.

But then for a 2nd offense, the reverse line-up occurs.

Just a thought for next season

You been talking to Rhys? If you haven't, spooky.

There's no need to wait for teams to be posted. I say use the last team.

The international rule isn't going to help activity for the teams that are the victims of the rule. It is only going to create a negative attitude.

Besides, why penalize the entire team if 2 people cannot get on PC at the right time?

I think a better idea would be to use the last line-up and fine the team that is guilty. If they do not pay the fine by the next game, they automatically forfeit that game. That way you won't have silly one-sided games that don't help anyone.

How much would the fine be? $300k?

The problem is, for people like pal, $300k is absolutely nothing, while for a team like Toronto, $300k is a major setback.

That's what I've been saying since the Manchester Monkeys lost in that reverse line up game.
