Pitch wear and deterioration

DBC14 would age the pitch while you played, but it always reset after a save/load. Since then we've had nothing.

As I say, if you create a scenario and set a pitch as being later in the game you'll see it visually. (Jury possibly out on how it plays.) But if it's not actually aging visually or in result during normal play that's a disappointment, to say the least.

Yeah I do recall that now.

I've seen how it can look from choosing it pre game. Pretty dramatic. So disappointing to see what we're missing! 3 games in I genuinely thought it may have been a serious aspect!

Words falling upon deaf hears Wealey? Or simply difficult coding?

I'm fairly certain DB14 had it implemented rather nicely.

It should matter Hester. What's a cricket game with a perfect pitch? That's just not cricket!!

Even if the visual doesn't work and the tech side actually is working...how do you actually know?

For me, its a huge realism killer.

I agree with you. It's just that bigant don't. They'll never add it either. They either can't be bothered or aren't skilled enough.

Pitches alongside Stats, Rain, dumb fielders and Injuries has allways since Day 1of Don Bradman Cricket14 been an achilles heel for BA.

Seems that the Stats, Rain and Injuries can provisionally be ticked of as fixed.

So just the extremely dumb fielders with loopy throws and pitches that actually age and play as described left from that list? Step in the right direction I guess.

Do you have it yet Acid Burn? I'll hopefully have it in 2 days and have been waiting to hear if the fielding/catching on semi-auto or manual is actually something the user does or if it's all just watch and see (mostly just automatic except for the reflex ones with the circle).

Dumb and ambidextrous

Ashes launched with rain and they patched it out.

Same as DBC17 launched with all dismissal types available against AI and they patched out bowleds.

Tbh the fielding side of things did come up as a surprise to me when I saw the first gameplay video. I believe BigAnt had mentioned that they worked a lot on the fielding and I thought it would be a big overhaul similar to what they did in Ashes in terms of batting where they added and blended the batting animations so well that things looked beautiful in motion and really really immersive.

Maybe in the next game they can work on the fielding as well to make the whole thing look immersive as currently it's mainly the fielding animations and play that take the immersion out slightly. That said, they seem to have worked on the keeper animations that just look amazing (apart from the super human dives)

No, I can only work from what I`m reading here.

Us backward South Africans will only get on the Bandwagon this coming Friday.

If SA Customs plays their part.[DOUBLEPOST=1559571267][/DOUBLEPOST]

I vaguely remember a Build in DBC17 where the Edges were also too much, but very varied.

That also got patched out.

Fine balancing act it seems.

I'm waiting for a physical copy also. Same situation here in New Zealand. I was told by a major retailer that the games were going through customs here too. I asked if this is normal, they said "yes, customs have taken no longer than normal, it's just the game arrived to them later than normal before release and so the process is behind".

Did patch 1.04 had any effect on pitch wear and deterioration ??
