Planetcricket FC (FM 2006)

I Hope I get to play some matches, the only Scottish Lad in team.

The Computer should read my mind. Why are the other guys so good but not me? Intresting...

dont worry its only a game and you will get better eventually...

good game btw... good result for us... good to see me in form....

btw radaga can u email the details to me so i can make the team
I don't have a list currently. I just copied everyones details from the forum onto a word document, but deleted it after i was finished.

What i did was:
Every bold stat got 15 for technical attributes and 16 for non-technical.
Every underlined stat got 11
and every italic stat got 5
If it was left i put a 0 in and the game just randomly generates the stats if it is 0.

For positions, the first position(s) were given ratings of 20, the 2nd position(s) were given ratings of 15 and the 3rd position(s) were given rating of 10.

For the potential and current ability i used a random number program from my calculator.
The current ability ranged like this:
Under 16: Ranges from 65-86
16-19: ranges from 76-102
19+: ranges from 88-120
Captains and vice-captains ranges went up by 20. (e.g- captain is 14, so range changes to 85-106)

For potential ability i originally was going to use a massive formula but i decided just to keep it mostly random. The only thing that changed was if the player was under 16:
Under 16: ranges from 158-191
16+: ranges from 150-181

Im not gonna tell you what everyones vaues are because then everyone would know!

oh and for the youth team i just made evrything 0 except for their position.

The stadium has 21000 seats, average attendance of 19500, maximum of 21000 and minmum of 6000. It has an expansion capacity of 90000.

Thats pretty much all i think i did, let me know if i missed something!

Now match reports:

Man United 18's vs Planetcricket Reserves on 25th of July.
The United 18's have a few good up and comming players and the game was at home for them so this was probably an even contest on paper. PC reserves were experimenting a new formation. Tim Macdonald was sent in as a center back because of injuries and because he was the only first team player fit enough.

Line Ups:

The match started slowly, both teams were quite cautious when going forward. Justin Allison started at striker, alongside Bilal Tahir and it proved to be a great confidence booster for him. PC were the first team to make any real chances. The trio of Tahir, Allison and Gold 639 was quite hard for the United defence to contain. PC had a few shots at goal which they should of buried, but inaccurate kicking sent them in tied at 0-0 at the end of the half. Usman Ghaff wa sinjured in the 45th minute and had to be replaced by Haris Memic.
United must have got a kick up the backside at half time because they came out looking a different team. They also had a few good chances but poor kicking cost them a goal.
In the 66th minute a hard, flat cross from Bilal Tahir found Allison right next to the keeper. Allison's volley went straight past the keeper and into the net.
Pique was sent off in the 74th minute for a deliberate foul on Tahir next to the box. Liebenberg stepped up to take the free kick but shot wide of goal.
A 10 man United team was then somehow able to score a goal in the 85th minute. Robbing PC of a deserved win.
MOM- Justin Allison
Cameron White picked up an injury, expected to be back in training a day before the next practice match, which probably rules him out of playing a major part in it.

Planetcricket FC vs Bolton on 29th of July
This would be a testing game for PC. Bolton also would be looking for a confidence boost with the side among the favourites for relegation this season. Macdonald's emmaculate fitness saw him 100% fit for the game so he was called back into the 1's.

Line Ups:

This game was quite evenly matched. PC showed they were good enough in glimpses to challenge EPL sides. PC dominated possesion but was unable to turn it into any meaningful chances. The lack of run from the wings was a problem for PC, Teague and O were unable to break the game open and even though Bolton had less of the ball, they looked much more dangerous when going forward. The scoreline of 0-0 at half time was an even reflection of the game so far.
Pc started to tire in the 2nd half and Bolton started to mount some heavy chances. Henrik Pederesen came on as a subsitute and nearly scored on 2 occasions within the first minute he was on.
Andrew Symonds decided all of a sudden that the game needed some action and he made some great runs and dangerous passes. Left Hander came on for his first game of the season. He went to pass the ball to Steve O, but it defelcted off A Bolton defender and found its way to Hassan Tahir, who was in meters of space with only the goalie to beat. He camly slotted it past the keeper to put PC up 1-0.
The scorline finished at 1-0 and Bolton would feel hard done by with the result.
MOM was Andrew Symonds, probably because of a single 10-20mins of outstanding football.

Tottenham 18's vs Planetcricket Reserves
Another fairly even match on paper, the upeprhand probably just going to PC. Again there was experimentation with the formation. Macdonald was a handy fill in once again. Ahmed and White were back in traning after injury, but as they were only 65% fit they were expected to only get a small amount of game time.

Theres not much to say for this game other than total domination for PC.
Everyone played well and the 3-3-1-3 formation seemed to work well for the team. Gold was switched into a striker position with Allison having a go at the Attacking Mid position. Gold relished the chance up front and bagged himself 2 goals. Tahir was also excellent and kick 2 goals as well.
MOM was gold.
Only bad news is that Gold picked up a slight groin injury and then aggrevated it more in training. he is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks.

INJURY UPDATE
Zohaib Ahmed is back in training after a rib injury and is expected to be ready for the first match of the season. He is expected to be eased back into the firsts, most likely playing in the reserve team first.
Cameron White suffered an injury in the practice match against the united 18's, but recovered quick enough to play 5 mins of the Tottenham game. he will be ready for the new season with some training.
Chesney Lewis is still out for between 2 weeks and a month with broken ribs.
Gold 639 suffered a groin strain after the friendly vs Tottenham and is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks. Some bad luck for the youngster who impressed in the friendlies and wa spuching for first-team selection.

I will ponder over these results and stats and come up with a first team and reserve team by the next time i come online again.
A few players have impressed in the reserves and they will be taken into serious consideration for the first team.

The team looks to be doing well in the pre-season games,Beating a team like Bolton is no easy feat.Good work.

How come Pak Cricketer had the same injury and will be out 2-4 weeks less than me! :(

Wow! 3-3-1-3 formation really seemed to suit our style of play.
Bit disappointed to pick up an injury but I'll be back and ready for start of season. :D

great wins there lads and a good draw too.
we are looking like we can cope in the higher leagues too :D
